UPDATED: Adam Lambert has unveiled not only the cover of ‘The Original High’ ahead of its summer release but given us a glimpse at the track list too.
With lead single “Ghost Town” due to drop tomorrow (April 21), Adam’s getting the hype going by giving us a look at the artwork for his third LP ‘The Original High’. Taking to Twitter last night, the American Idol alum had this succinct message to go with the image:

The artwork is the latest piece of Lambert’s reinvention which has seen him go from camptastic mod rocker to understated fashionista and it’s a transformation which suits him well. The cover, much like all the promotion for ‘The Original High’, features a more mature and sophisticated Adam and has us extremely excited for what’s coming next.
First cut from the record “Ghost Town” sounds promising so far and is set to translate Lambert’s visual changes into a new sonic direction, showing off production from the one and only Max Martin, a house-style beat and a sure to be catchy hook.
The track list for the album has also surfaced today, featuring the much buzzed about collaboration with Tove Lo and a not altogether unexpected appearance from Queen guitarist and living legend Brian May.

Question: If one pre-orders the album - will it negate the single purchase? Q3 probably knows the correct answer.
Usually they invite you to pre-purchase the cd and get the lead single right away. Whether I counts towards a single sale, I am not sure. One thing I do know for sure: if you purchase the cd, you will not be able to buy the 2nd single when it is released.
I always pre-order a hard copy of the cd and only complete the CD digital download after the singles have run their course.

About the bird in the clip - It is a raven. And it's one of the coolest birds that I know of.
I'm an active birder with the Audubon Society, and on our annual winter bird counts throughout the Americas, the raven is often the only species seen in the high Arctic in the dead of winter. It's known to be a very intelligent bird and is a bird that is revered in different cultures. Since I'm always on the look-out for birds, I've often seen them soaring over the Hollywood Hills when visiting my LA son. I'm thrilled that Adam has chosen the raven in this clip - he must also have seen them on his hikes in Runyon Canyon. Cool choice, Adam!
