myhyperreality.com/2015/04/20/adam-lambert-returns-with-new-single-ghost-town-and-itll-blow-your-mind/Adam Lambert Returns with New Single “Ghost Town,” and It’ll Blow Your Mind!Steven S. Shaw / After spending 2013 in a successful guest spot as Elliot “Starchild” on Glee‘s penultimate season, and 2014 touring the world as the frontman for the one of the world’s greatest rock bands, Queen, Adam Lambert is finally releasing new music. ....The Original High, expected to drop on June 16th. For diehard “Glamberts,” it’s the single they’ve been anxiously awaiting since the American Idol runner up dropped his sophomore effort Trespassing in 2012. For the rest of the world? “Ghost Town” should be the song to finally put Lambert on the map as an incredible musical force to be reckoned with. Yes, it’s that good. more.. AAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHH where's that damn countdown clock?! i LOVE ^this^ review (& thanks for all the welcomes )

Perhaps I'm worrying too much but I fear that Ghost Town might not be radio friendly - dark lyrics that teens may not be able to understand or relate to. Singing about the vampires in Hollywood is quite different from Taylor Swift whining about her ex-boyfriends. You are worrying too much. We will know soon enough. There is absolutely nothing that a teen would not understand in this song. Regarding the vampires -- True Blood, Twillight, etc. Vampires are everywhere. And I would suggest, not everything is meant to be taken literally. How many times have you heard the powers that be referred to as bloodsuckers?

I'm trying to picture how Adam will sing this live on Idol.....and I'm having a hard time. lol. With that beat...guess there will be dancers. Wonder what he'll do during the whistling part. Don't see any problem with it being performed live. All the backing, including the whistling, can be reproduced on a keyboard or two along with the initial acoustic guitar. Actually quite simple. And if I remember rightly, there are no backing vocals. Just Adam's voice up front. What are the challenges to a live performance?

That acoustic guitar in the beginning of GT sort of reminds me of Wake Me up and I just love the house music part (can't stop dancing in my chair) and that novel end - terrific.
