Well it got more attention than here in the Netherlands at least. We've had 0 promo and maybe it got played 2-3 times today (1 time I know for sure at 6.14 AM this morning). But I guess on the big country of the USA that's still a small piece of the pond. I saw some of those stat's earlier today. Ghost Town had almost 480k impressions with 26 plays on one day it said on the 2nd day of being out. I got no idea what impressions are though. I also saw that Ellie Goulding's in the same period had 21 million impressions with 2.986 plays. That's quite a difference indeed. That was in: www.radiowavemonitor.com/rtf/2014/r100_042215.aspxThere is also a figure there that has APP above it. That figure is much higher for Ghost Town than for any other song. Does anybody know what that is? Impressions has mostly to do with the stations' audience size. For instance, Z100 in NYC has a much larger "impression" than Iowa. Alright. Now I figured out what the APP is about. It's the average impression / play. For Ellie's it's just above 7k and for Adams it's quite some above 18k. Apparently the audience of the stations that are playing Adam's song have on average more "impression" than the stations that are playing Ellie's song. I think that's a good thing right? Although he had a low amount of plays the amount of people it reached with that low amount of play was on average very high. On here www.radiowavemonitor.com/top_adds.aspx it says that Ghost Town had 1,532,789 impressions with 96 spins total this week (2 days effective since the chart is from 23 April). If you compare that with the rest of the list the average of that is impressive high. A nice site to keep track off I think. |

Yes and I seem to remember from Adam's previous singles that radio play didn't start to really push sales until the songs Audience Impression(AI) reached about 10 million. |
