All what airplay? Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like you Do' has over 18,000 spins this week. Not sure what GT's spins were so far (IIRC less than 100), but it needs a lot more time and spins to start moving up any chart. Well it got more attention than here in the Netherlands at least. We've had 0 promo and maybe it got played 2-3 times today (1 time I know for sure at 6.14 AM this morning). But I guess on the big country of the USA that's still a small piece of the pond. I saw some of those stat's earlier today. Ghost Town had almost 480k impressions with 26 plays on one day it said on the 2nd day of being out. I got no idea what impressions are though. I also saw that Ellie Goulding's in the same period had 21 million impressions with 2.986 plays. That's quite a difference indeed. That was in: www.radiowavemonitor.com/rtf/2014/r100_042215.aspxThere is also a figure there that has APP above it. That figure is much higher for Ghost Town than for any other song. Does anybody know what that is? There are many differences between the two markets. Here are some big differences: 1. US Radio is massive -- There are over 15,000 stations, of which are 6,533 FM stations -- mostly playing music. 59% of the US Population listens to radio each day or 190 million unique listeners. There are literally dozens of music formats and stations. It takes more than 3 days to have an impact. 2. US iTunes has huge market share -- about 61% of the US track sales, $870 million. That means they are selling an average of close to $17 million a week in the US. The size of the market means that it is extremely competitive and it takes a lot of sales to be a top 10 song here. (Note: US and most of Canada function as one market for music -- so it is really bigger.) 3. Streaming dominates in the Netherlands; Apple/digital track dominate in the US. The UK and US alone are 60% of digital music sales. If you add in Japan and Germany, the big four are over 75% of all digital music income, and within these four countries (the four biggest music markets) streaming accounted for just 13% of digital revenue. These are also iTunes big markets.
** Impressions = cumulative audience exposures to the song on radio -- that is number of times the song was heard.

101.3 KISS-FM @1013kissfm · 7m 7 minutes ago It came out on Tuesday, and you have already voted it into the top spot! @adamlambert “Ghost Town” is the #1 song! bit.ly/1013KISSFMListen … 101.3 KISS-FM @1013kissfm · 4m 4 minutes ago BTW #Glamberts, “Ghost Town” from @adamlambert got so many votes this week, we are adding it to our regular rotation as of Monday!
I don't know where this station is and I don't think I voted, so I hope those votes were not coming only from Glamberts or radio listeners actually voted for Ghost Town.

YouTube play rate is accelerating -- it is Friday night. 602,584 Q3, do you think we could keep the YouTube and other streaming direct links on Page 1? I switch up and sometimes use my phone or tablet and it's not easy finding things on them but I've always got Adamtopia linked up. If I could just go to page one each day if I wanted to play it, that would be really helpful.

IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE STREAMING, PLEASE PLAY GHOST TOWN ON YOUTUBE!! It counts the same as Spotify, and can be play on a phone for free. Could we have a link to the YouTube video posted near the top if each day's news thread for easy access?
