So glad that Gokey and his relative's story is past news,years old... would hate for any visitors to this site to think this is a current story. No to being rehashed on some gossip site. Adam lambert 24/7 seems to get a lot of their information from our site,or is this just a coincidence? ? :  |

Catzmadam, I can't tell you how sorry I am that you have to deal with all this STUFF in your life right now. PLEASE, remember that we are all here for you, and will prop you up when you need it, will let you cry on our shoulders when you feel like, and will share in your joy and excitement when you overcome the obstacles.

NoAngel -- beautiful!! I finally posted my Sunday piece on page 1. (And it is not compassionate at all!)  Thankfully, someone here is being wise and thoughtful today. Thanks to you and to noangel, I always look forward to my Sunday morning read. You guys never disappoint!! |

NoAngel :D, loved your essay today and I think the tension we feel about Adam's realness (which we allow to everyone else) IMO is not just a reflection of our unrealistically high expectations for him but also a sign of what a truly 'uberhuman' person he is in many ways, those high expectations for him seem to be a natural outcome of how incredibly gifted, talented, capable he is.
Q3 :D - great advice - from now on hopefully it'll allow me to look past the skirmishes and not 'bite' at every bit of BS that's posted, and ITA that the Adam comparisons are TPTB was of drumming up ratings, hits, etc...

A very small update on bamafan: I spoke with a friend's daughter who has been volunteering at a church in Cullman handing out supplies, meals, etc. and she put me in touch with someone from the church. I asked if I could get in to the historic area where bamafan lives to see if I could find her and offer help. (I'd even take care of her Adam collection if she needs me too!  ) Unfortunately, no one is allowed in without a wristband identifying them as a resident, business owner, or someone with cleanup crews. However, she said they are allowing a few from their church in to deliver water and meals. She took bamafan's name and address and said she would see if they could find her and deliver the message that we are thinking about her. I will continue to check. I don't think they will have their power back before the middle or end of next week. Hopefully, I can get in soon. Keep the good thoughts and prayers coming. Just another concern to add to the list. There are over 500 people in Tuscaloosa unaccounted for. |

I am really stunned by the Danny Gokey dinner thing. I really believe now that it was done to sabotage Adam. Living in Wisconsin I know how much that whole family was supported and to see how cruel they where to Adam makes me really mad. I knew nothing about that back then. However, Adam got the last laugh!

Q3 -- I especially love this one:
I see this as often a happy (though I'm sure unpremeditated) result of Adam's "charmicide" plus genuine delight in the accomplishments and good music of others. When he spends time giving props to other artists on twitter or in interviews they and their fanbases notice, and he gains new followers and a positive reception from fans-of-others, just as we tend to take time to check out the music of the people he recommends.
Big fanbases I've seen that that he has not captured, but definitely overlapped with in parts (I'm thinking Venn diagrams here..) include Gaga fans and Beiber fans.
Smaller fanbases with a lot of cross-pollination include Scissor Sisters and the "bandom" fandoms.
What other artists have people noticed that tend to have fans who are also Adam fans?
