CHR, for the most part, does not do auto adds. But if the adds are already spinning, they won't cause a big change. Let me say, today's chart is one of the weirdest I have ever seen. Hardly any changes from all the songs around GT! All Top 10 songs have over 10K spins. Very unusual!! The most top heavy I have seen in my 5 years of following it! Even the Pulse experts are bewildered & not happy! So is this a case of undue emphasis on the top songs freezing out upward mobility for most except the hot tickets like Britney? Sucks. Yes, it is! But TBH, it is very strange. Like i said, for about 3 wks, the spins have been crazy high. Here is the link for the full chart. Something really, really weird is happening because today shows 30 of the Top 50 songs with negative bullets. My thought is that radio might be trying to correct the ridiculous spin counts. But IDK. Take a look! kworb.net/radio/To put it in perspective, last Saturday's chart had 15 songs with negative bullets and a month ago, the #50 song had 587 spins. Today #50 requires 870 spins!

There is a post on the main thread saying big moves are expected this week for several songs including Adam IDK Where is that coming from?

That post is by a guy with 68 followers.
But what they are talking about is the published weekly chart from Sunday to Sunday (not daily) where Adam will jump from his 51st spot up to probably 44 and from 655 spins to 1058 spins.
The day I'm looking for is next Monday's 7day roll. That's when the big jump from those 38 adds seemed to finally start rolling in last week. It's like they look at their playlist leading up to Tuesday's Add day or wait until that published Sunday chart is in before they make adjustments.

I do think Adam has a good chance of moving up 2 spaces with tomorrows published chart.
Chris Brown's Ayo which is just 3 spins above GT today - this would be a jump
Nicki Minaj's Truffle Butter which has dropped out of the Top 40 without spending time in the top 20, has lost spins for at least the last four weeks. It might get purged (not recurrent)out of the chart. This was discussed last week at Pulse but she came in at 39 instead of 41+. If she stays at 41 like today the song is likely out.

I repeat - That is perfectly normal because the big increases from the 38 add week are falling off of the 7 day rolling chart. Keep in mind the the negative numbers above for bullet are the increase/decrease of the bullet not the bullet itself. These numbers may well be negative all week but that does not mean the song is falling, just that it is not rising as fast as the previous 7 day period. Thanks but I understand the bullet thing, my question was about the spin-count. One thing I was wondering in relation to that was whether Tuesday,s Adds were predominantly auto-adds? I left for work so didn't get to answer this but again it is the same problem as the bullet. This week had 12 adds the week before had 38. I haven't looked but I suspect that most of the stations that added this week had already started spinning the song. So the combination of the earlier large increase falling off of the 7 day count and the fewer new stations some of whom may have already been spinning combines to what amounts to a static spin count and a decrease in the bullet. I expect GT to level off for a bit, maybe even all of this week. I am even prepared for a low add week because some of the stations left to add will be waiting for the song to break in to the top 40. These plateaus are perfectly normal for songs. Yes some songs rocket up the charts but those are really not as common as you might think they are just more memorable. Most songs climb slowly and in spurts. This is a marathon, not a sprint so it will take a bit for the song to build.

I understand the reasons for the negative bullets in both Pop and HAC but I still find it really upsetting. This, combined with the low iTunes sales for GT and the low sales at Amazon for both GT and TOH, is getting me stressed out.

Radio stations really do pay a lot of attention to iTunes sales when deciding if and when to play a single.

This, combined with the low iTunes sales for GT and the low sales at Amazon for both GT and TOH, is getting me stressed out. The bullet isn't negative, the size of the bullet decreased, that just means the bullet is not as big as it was. Totally normal. The song charted well on release and drop in iTunes afterwards is totally expected. This is common behavior for songs. Once radio has increased enough then if there is no increase in sales it might start to be a problem but that is a good ways off. GT is performing better than ANY song Adam has ever released at this point and all the signs are that it will continue up for a while. I'm not making any predictions on how high it will go but there is NO cause for any angst at this point.
