Sorry for getting back to you so late, but us 'part-time-fan-girls' who have mouths to feed, just can only hang around so often, and so I am only catching your question late tonight.  Wanted to respond to video situation. That my own history on YT may be influencing the weird display order, was interesting suggestion. I surely have played the music video more times now than the lyric video, but maybe I did myself in somewhere by using different searches to get to the video and by searching neutrally 'Ghost Town Adam Lambert', I may be triggering a search entry for both, even though I then select the music video, who knows. So, I decided to delete my youtube history and sure enough, now the music video is first and the lyric video second. And the new picture has meanwhile arrived too, like @theogma has suggested. But on google search, nothing has changed, with or without history. I see the lyric video first. Interestingly, if I enter 'Ghost Town Adam Lambert' in the search field and then on the display screen press the 'VIDEO' button, I get a list of about 100 videos, but the official GT video is not even on the list! It starts with lyric video, then come all kinds of clones that people have made, Ellen is there, the snippets, all kinds of stuff, but the actual music video is absent. Besides WTF I am not sure what else to say about this... Why not just go to Adam's YouTube page and play it? Doesn't that count? Since I follow his YouTube page that's what I've been doing as I think of it through the day. Why would someone have to search for it each time? Or did I miss something and that's what I should have been doing for the past week?? Rest assured, all is fine. You can search for the video or not search for the video, you are fine. We were playing around and discussing different options, i.e. how somebody outside of the fandom might look at things, but with Big Brother Google hanging around for every move, as Q3 explained, it is hard to recreate reasonably neutral non-fan scenarios. In no shape or form should that discourage you from doing what you are doing. No one needs to worry about how you search for the video, you are fine. If you refresh your browser screen, you should be fine too. There is some debate as to what pressing the replay button on a video does, but I don't have answers, just know that people are speculating. Different people have different ways to contribute to the overall process, and I think, across many people, it will all average out in the end. What makes me far more excited than the video counts at this point, are i.e. messages that Shazam counts are up. This is non-core fanbase driving this...and that makes me very, very happy. That means that people have heard the song a few times, and are curious and interested. That is a very, very good thing. And the fact that adds are continuing, and happening at increased rates, shows that the behind the scenes statistics are coming back positive too. If that happens with a quite eclectic and unusual song like Ghost Town, then this will drive further interest in other singles, in the album, in Adam as an artist. And ultimately, this gives Adam freedom to be the genre-switching, multifaceted, creative, and unique artist, that he wants to be. And beyond all numbers, this is what makes me so incredibly happy, at this point and I just hope it continues for a long time to come.  |
