What's really weird is, that if I search in youtube for Ghost Town Adam Lambert, I still get the lyrics video first and the official video second, and the screen is still the same foggy mix, that it always was. No new image. Now, a few posts above mine, the embedded video here, shows a different picture (different facial shots overlay), but that is not what I see, when I search for Ghost Town, either in Google Search or inside of Youtube.
It is especially unfortunate, as the lyric video does not only come first, but also has a bit of color and therefore stands out over the other one. I bet many people grab the wrong one. Not that the lyric video is not good, it just happens to take views away from the real music video.

I see no new image either....They did add the link to the MV (as bama pointed out before) but IMO it is on the screen for too short a time... With me the image has changed, but the Ellen video is also above the Music video. Maybe when the Music video surpasses the Lyric Video in # of views it will get higher up. |

It is unfortunate that the lyric video pops up first, but BB counts the views of both.

I see that the track from Britney and Iggy has arrived and is already heading the "taking off" chart with a massive number (79) of stations and massive spins but we would expect that. Adam is doing great on that chart.
The Wiz Khalifa track is taking off as well moving up fast. I listened to it and am not a hip hop fan but the singing parts were good. I can see its appeal. Adam is also tracking brilliantly with that one as well.
Hoping for great day today. Would love to see that MV at 1,000,000 by midnight EDT

Not complaining at all, very happy with the rollout ...I am clearly just confused, because I read in the end of yesterday's thread that something had changed, and I could not find that (except for that one link). Was just trying to express that. Also, I wonder how the display order is established when you search in youtube and who can control that? I love both the steep climb and the breath of radio play that we are seeing both within the US and around the globe.  On the list of countries that could purchase GT on itunes, I found it interesting that not only UK was missing, as expected, but also the whole German speaking realm (DE, AT, CH). Does that mean, we will get (after US is done), first a UK promotion and then a DE promotional cycle? I did not realize that the song is not yet for sale in Germany. So, my guess is, UK promo should run most of first half of June, maybe they take a day or two for Germany in there. Germany has album release on 6/12. And then album release in US is June 16, so I presume they do most of the US album promo starting 6/15/2015. All very tight, and will get tighter in the future when the US switches to Friday roll-outs, but not yet relevant for TOH. |

Spotify update: 1,416,099!Going pretty fast now!Yes, it took a distinct uptick yesterday, we'll see if it's a trend tomorrow or if it's just playing catchup from not fully updating since the changes I have from the prior several days was just steady. Are you keeping a spreadsheet? I'm doing one in Excel. |

If you search on a clean browser, the music video comes up first. You can change your Google settings and remove your history. |
