I'll say it again, we are the luckiest fandom out there because of the life Adam led before he became a star. It was easier to be "an open book" when your fanbase consisted of however many, have no idea if 100s or 1000s, people in the LA area. Now that the whole world knows who he is and wants, wants, wants from him, it is natural and healthy that he has pulled back. I truly think Adam appreciates his fans with all his heart and realizes he wouldn't be where he is without us, but that is a far cry from surrendering to the entitled, BSC people who have no discernable boundaries. We may have given him the chance to succeed, but he has taken it and turned it into something beautiful and inspiring. If I bought $200 worth of groceries, the meal I made with them would be far less spectacular than Emeril or Bobby Flay. Adam is his own creation, not ours. We just helped provide the vehicle to share it with the world. You really hit the nail on the head IMO. And even with pulling it back a little as he feels the need to "keep is real," he STILL gives to us and shares with us abundantly and I am extremely grateful for that and for his love & appreciation for us. We truly are the luckiest fandom there is.

www.q102.com/pages/ultimate-idol/index.htmlKeep voting, guys, Adam down almost another point since my last post! The Claymates are out in force today. We will have to count on our international peeps to keep the voting up overnight. I would be really surprised if there are very many int'l fans of Clay! p.s. totally absurd that Clay beat Carrie Underwood! Looks like her fans just don't play these games! mahailia International Aiken fans? This name doesnt exist in Europe. This morning when I woke up at 7.00 a.m Greek time, it was 52% Clay - 48% Adam 3-4 hours later it was Adam 65,18 Clay 34.82 Now its Adam 59 Clay 41 If US peeps can keep this difference every day, the Europeans will do their job. Adam is now at 58/Clay 41. Kelly and David race is still very close, 50/49 in Kelly's favor. Think I'll throw in a few votes for Kelly, too.

Today's federal election day in Canada. Got my vote in.
Kinda nice to be able to do multiple voting for AFL, I must say. Off to do another round on Q102.

It has been a crazy weekend. My weekend also took an interesting turn, not nearly so dramatic as others, but vaguely Adam related.
6 weeks ago, I had to put my very very old, very much ready to go, dog Rascal, down. He was a good guy, 14 years old, and it was time. I have missed him and I have missed having my own dog. We have two other dogs, my partner's red aussie, and my daughters's terrier mutt. I love them, but they are not MY dogs. But I thought, OK, I don't need my OWN dog, I'll just love on these guys. I mean, three dogs is a lot, and I am busy!
So Friday after work, I needed make-up and headed over to Ulta, right next to the PetSmart. And there were the AustinPetsAlive! folks with dogs for adoption. And right up front was a 12 week, very bright eyed little black and tan heeler mix. Very smart. I found out she was born on Feb 2nd, Imbolc, if you're pagan, and this weekend is Beltaine, my favorite pagan holiday. I spent about a 45 minutes pondering this dilemma, interacting with her and wondering if I was crazy.
Then I went to Ulta and took my time at the Urban Decay section, picked out some lovely eyeshadows and went to check out. That's when I noticed the music. Kesha singing on about Tic Toc on the clock, the party never stops....And then I heard the beginnings notes of "If I Had You" and I knew where this decision was headed. It's all about the LOVE, right? And Adam always seems to pop in and just the right moments in my life.
I did try to be smart about it all. Called my partner who said "Who am I to get between a woman and her dog?" I went home and slept on it. And I came back the next day and scooped her up.
Her name is Lilith and she's pretty awesome.
And I send my thoughts and prayers to all you Atopians who have been the path of severe weather. Be strong, be safe!! May you have what you need!!

Just a guess, but I suspect that both Clay and DA fans are voting against us, because DA would probably beat Clay in a face-off. We should also vote for Kelly, IMHO.

(video: Adam @:47 from ASCAP Red Carpet) www.mtv.com/news/articles/1663070/adam-lambert-moulin-rouge.jhtmlMay 2 2011 1:58 PM EDT 3 Adam Lambert Calls 'Moulin Rouge' 'Groundbreaking' Singer recalls 'loving' film before today's 'Moulin Rouge at 10' live stream. By Jocelyn Vena Quote: .....adding to the many celebrity fans who've described the film's influence on them, Adam Lambert spoke to MTV News about his love for "Moulin Rouge." "I remember just loving it. I thought it was novel. First of all, movie musicals were just starting to come back and I thought it was really interesting to have a movie musical using already existing pop music," he explained. "That's kind of an amazing collaboration. Usually it's all original music or it's based on a Broadway musical, but this was using songs that we all know and tying them into the story. I thought it was really groundbreaking." ....
