Is the loss of AI due to different stations spinning? i.e. a station with larger AI decreased the spins while a smaller imprint station(s) increased?

Yes, you’re right: if spins increase but AI decreases it means the song is played more by smaller stations and less by bigger ones. Today’s update looks really weird for pretty much all songs, most songs lost quite a bit of AI, even though some gained spins. I guess it’s because of the new Maroon 5 song. It had a radio deal with the bigger stations, and because they were playing it so often it meant less time to play other songs, which meant less AI for them. Actually, now that I look at the AI decreases of the other songs on the pop chart, Ghost Town lost less AI than most, so that’s good news.  |

I hope that M5 song will be only be hourly for today! Wait. I thought it was hourly yesterday!! Cause I heard it repeadedly. ridiculous. I think is awful. Same old same old. |

Ok. Listening to Q102?? starting Monday every hr on the hr w Elvis Duran Z100. Will be playing TS. New single
Sooooo another setback of spins for GT. I'm really getting disgusted w radio

As predicted the M5 song jumped in to the chart in the mid 30's so it pushed GT down. It's a toss up as to whether it stays ahead of Major Lazer tomorrow. The R5 song may drop below GT. Looks to me like GT will end up either #40 or #41 but probably not any lower. As I said before if it stays at #41 it may make next week look even better as there are potentially 3 or 4 songs that might drop below GT. Looks nice if he jumps into the top 40 several positions up. The Carson Daly show spins might make for nice updates over the weekend. I hope that Carson Daily is actually spinning GT a few times and that his show is syndicated to numerous stations too. |
