There is a very thoughtfully sung, arranged and produced song. I think Shellback did the instrumental arrangement/production on this one based on the the style. I love how this song transitioned from his mostly unmodifed voice on verse 1 to increasing levels of processing as the song progresses. Then retreats and cycles again Are you saying that his voice has been modified electronically as the song progresses? I'm having a hard time hearing it.. his voice that's front and center in the song sounds like him to me unaltered.. Yes, it is modified, not saying Adam did not hit the notes, not "corrected", just electronic effects/filters were used. This is clearly evident. Some Adam fans do not like it, I love it. None of Adam's recording are not processed; all are sweetened in some way. Even the live recordings are. ETA: I edited one ugly sentence above.

That was my guess. About 65% Top 40 monitored from the 79 listed stations. I can't find an accurate list of all stations, so no way to even count it. *** I wish Carson Daily did the bookings for The Voice! I so much want our Adam on the final! That would be so great! I wonder who and how they make their decision about who they have on the show.. If you're calling the show "The Voice", seems only reasonable that you'd want THE voice on there.. Adam!

My desktop and ipad do not like the Digital Spy site. If anyone could pm a copy of the article re Rufus leaving the Darkness I would appreciate your efforts. (Or put it in another thread so others might be able to read it too.) I have googled and googled and found no other links to the information. If there is no more information other than the few sentences posted yesterday, then I wold appreciate knowing. many Thanks Also I have checked the two Bravo channels here in I can access through my cable package in Canada and I cannot locate the show on Tuesday. Any suggestions...is it on another day here? Once again appreciate some help. The article wasn't about Rufus leaving, it was about their former drummer, the one Rufus replaced, I believe. Eta- My computer isn't letting me copy the article past the first line, for some reason, but I re-read it and, yes, it's about their former drummer, Emily Dolan, leaving because the band was too time demanding. Rufus is their awesome new find. Golly...no wonder! (wish digital spy would open for me...would have helped to read the whole thing versus the tid-bits.) Thanks for responding, and for Q3 as well, I was getting confused between the initial comment "the drummer has left" ....etc as it has been quite awhile...weeks ....since we knew Rufus had joined, so it seemed that he could have left. (old information)
But no ---good for Rufus to jump into it and play immediately for a gig!
Still not having any luck finding the Cohen interview on either of my Bravo networks...on any day so if any Canadians can give me some guidance....much appreciated!!

Oh do you mean the "dry feed" versus one with some reverb, etc.?

I have to remind myself, that Adam reached Top40 really quickly, and in the 20's on HAC also VERY QUICKLY compared to any previous song of his. It just isn't fast enough for me.
I need instant gratification. When a song by Can't sing feat Can't rap is up there, it just is something that I cannot compute.
But I want it to be at No. 1. There is a lot of competition out there by established singers. I want him so badly to beat the snot out of whiny voiced Adam Levine and Sam Smith. Despite radio playing him, he still has to do the dog and pony shows that other singers do not have to do. I think there is still some prejudice out there that Adam is not safe, or he is somewhat threatening (I think straight guys just feel threatened). He is not milktoast Sam Smith.
Onward and upward !!!!
No need to reply or dispute my words. These are my thoughts that I am putting out there.

I have yet to see any comments re how much Adam sounds like MJ on Underground...not at the beginning but through the middle...I was really shocked and expected to see that comparison everywhere. Is it just my ears are off? If I heard that without knowing Adam's voice, I would argue flat out that it was an old Michael Jackson track/duet....I do see the Justin Timberlake comparison but as a genre, not in the particular....

As much as I would love that, I don't think the U.S. Voice will ever have Adam on it - it would just further highlight how successful their rival show (AI) has been with star alumni, & the Voice producers/coaches seem to have pretty fragile egos with how often they try to bring up how much better they are than Idol. They already conceded to have Kelly Clarkson as a mentor. Having Adam perform would just prove that Idol already found 'the voice' But it sure would be cool, haha

They've conceded with Kelly. I doubt they'll have a second Idol perform on the show. But, obviously, I'd love to be wrong.

Sorry, I don't know how to post here on a particular thread. But anyway, just wanted to comment on the Nate/Adam thing. Adam once was asked about record sales, chart success, etc. in an interview. Adam said, "It's not about the voice." He knows full well that just because he may have a better voice than someone else, that doesn't mean he'll have a bigger-selling song or album. Listeners go by the songs they like. The songs don't have to be sung that well in order to be popular. Adam knows that as much as anyone. Nate sings just fine, but is not in Adam's league by a long shot. But Nate sells more. The songs above GT on charts are popular among listeners regardless of the voice quality. It's all personal taste. AND, the truth is that once we find someone we love, we tend to support whatever they do. Human nature. SO exited for Adam's upcoming interviews and promos! I hope TOH debuts strong!!! It does have some competition but I think it will do well. BUY, REQUEST, STREAM, VIEW, DOWNLOAD, REPEAT!!
