Please keep voting everyone and let's get Adam past Clay Aiken in this round. It will be a great race when Adam faces Kelly.
But first Adam has to win - and so does Kelly. 8-)

I've checked the corners, and I don't see Q3, so I'm wandering off topic again ( shh! don't talk too loud so she doesn't notice). I've only been watching The Voice for about 30 minutes, and I've already heard several people better than anything I'm hearing on the radio at the moment. Ahem... I am not watching The Voice, and just catching up on today. Loved Adam calling out GQ. As some have said, I have no prob whatsoever with them not liking his outfit. They are about style, they can critique style. But the gratuitous "gay" thrown in there was lame and unevolved. The use of the word "gay" as an insult is pretty damn juvenile and unworthy of a mainstream publication. So they got a dose of Adam snark. Good. That's the kind of #Realness I appreciate. And on the other side of the realness spectrum, the blog from the young gay athlete was beautiful and inspiring. One person at a time is how change happens. The ripples from a tiny pebble... I love that Aftermath is that song for some people. I know the lyrics were a big eyeroll for some, but sometimes all it takes is a simple message sung with sincerity by an open-hearted person, and lives are changed. Who am I to question that? ITA!! I really loved that essay from the athlete. He was so candid about every step, without being overwrought, but still being raw, honest and poignant. He did such a nice job with it. Doing autobiographical stuff at that age is very difficult (especially given all he's been through); it usually comes out as a deluge of personal angst. I'm not knocking that, it almost always needs to be done, for personal and creative growth, but it doesn't always make great art. I also agree the GQFashion thing was lame and the "gay vampire" comment was weak and juvenile. Adam really seems to be feeling his HBIC lately. It's wild. Sweet/fierce Adam is now stepping into every cell of his power and yeah, being so balls out may end up in a gate or two, but shit, it's also how people fully realize their strength. I almost feel like he's redefining his role a bit for when he comes out with the next album. He was the hard-working, eager-to-please new kid on the block with a ferocious performance ability and nice-guy demeanor. I'm not saying that he won't be that again, but he seems to be saying, "I earned this place and I will not hesitate to call out BS where I see it. Treat me with respect, great! Take cheap shots, well, be prepared to take back what you're dishing out."

OK -- I just created a section for The Voice and moved it AI10 to the Salon section -- under Reality TV Shows.

An Adam mention that tickled me pink. Kelly and Adam are the two examples to point to as successful past Idol. "Each new season brings with it the hopes and dreams of thousands to become the next Kelly Clarkson or Adam Lambert, but what they fail to see is these dreams will be the cause of their demise." www.thelantern.com/arts/commentary-american-idol-nothing-to-praise-1.2218775

Then Daughtry was basically a male version of Kelly who did the same thing. The only smart thing she did was say nothing more about Adam beyond that initial sentence.
