I see excitement here about this number. Thanks in advance. YAY FOR ADDS!! It's the Audience Impressions although I'm not quite sure why anyone would be particularly excited about it. It wasn't any kind of dramatic increase and it isn't any particular milestone. When it gets over 10 then we could hope to see an impact on sales but that's really the only thing about that number the matters in and of itself. It's nice if it's at least as good as those surrounding it on the charts because if it's not as good that means the spins aren't getting as much bang for the buck so to speak. |

Of those Taylor Swift and Maroon 5 are already above him on the rolling chart from today. Only Ed Sheeran is coming up behind. There are others dropping though. I actually felt really proud of GT when I saw the list of adds because when GT impacted, it got in the neighborhood of 38 and that is what Ed Sheeran got and Sam Smith was 21. So I thought it was really good. Major Lazer could pass GT but it only got one more add so maybe not. Sam Smith will probably get a lot more adds next week but I am starting to feel the momentum build in the general awareness that GT is crazy cool. I think the train is not only out of the station but building up speed. I am also thinking that the big stations (Z100 etc.) are going to add next week which is timed perfectly for impacting the album release. Gives it a few weeks to peak. What do you guys think? |
