I don't know that I agree that Blake's team is weak. I loved Jared. I'm listening to Patrick right now, and while he isn't my cuppa, this is a pretty good country performance. Both of the girls have really distinctive voices, and while they both had issues tonight, if one of them makes it through to the next round they could really do something interesting.
ETA: Adam just referred to Patrick as understated- I think that's the difference between the teams. Christina coached hers to be pretty OTT, Blakes approach was simpler. Christina's team knocks your socks off right out of the gate, but I wonder which one will play better over the long haul.

I like Jared and Patrick Thomas. The girls have some issues they need to work out, but if they overcome these issues they could be contenders. Unfortunatley, the voting may not give them the opportunity to grow. I may have to give them some votes just because I want to see what these girls can bring if they gain a little more confidence.

Not liking Frenchie. She sounds like she should be in church. JMHO.

Wish they would eliminate the four with the lowest votes instead of 2 from each. It would keep the better singers and there would be a chance that a team could be completely eliminated.

If I have to choose two from each team. Xtina tams: Beverly and Frenchie Blakes" team: Jared and Dia
Frenchie's performance had some pitch problems, but agree with Adam Levine that I liked her performance better than Kelly Rowland's so I am giving her points for that.
I liked Patrick, but (don't hit me) his vocals were fine, but I got a music theater feel from his performance. Dia's Heartless performance was not original, but I liked her interpretation and her voice.

it'll be interesting to see how the voting goes with an actual limit on the number of votes.

Interesting that Christina riffed all over the place, yet guided a couple of her team members to stick to the melody more. Teacher, teach thyself.

Sorry Xtina, Adam FL does it better. His voice soared when he sang We Are the Champions. Just checking in on the thread, and I have to agree. Whenever I hear someone singing an "Adam" song, I think how much better he sounds. But, when you are hearing four very respected, current artists, and you still think, "Well, okay, but Adam blew them away", you know that Adam broke the mold. Still a fun performance, and I love the idea that the judges/coaches perform, too. Put money where mouth is!
