Adam never got these kind of tweets before!! Seattle's KLCK tweeted out a link to the GT video last evening. I retweeted it but I don't have any followers, lol. Post it here and I will find it and retweet it. ETA: I do not have that many followers but some of my followers do.

globalnews.ca/news/2020145/listen-vote-10-tunes-vying-for-song-of-the-summer/LISTEN & VOTE: 10 tunes vying for song of the summer By John R. Kennedy Entertainment Reporter Global News TORONTO — Last summer there was “Fancy” and “Rude” (not to mention “Happy”). A year earlier there was “Blurred Lines” and “Get Lucky” (and let’s not forget “We Can’t Stop”). So, which earworms will become this year’s songs of the summer? There are plenty of strong contenders from pop stars like Taylor Swift and Britney Spears as well as newcomers like OMI, breakouts like Andy Grammer — and even a Canadian or two. Is this summer’s “Call Me Maybe” or “Party Rock Anthem” among the songs highlighted below? Give them a listen and then vote for your favourite. GHOST TOWN IS ON THE LIST - Peeps go get'em!

Here you go... This is what the services publish -- I have not tested any of these numbers. Beats MusicStandard quality: 64kbps High quality: 320kbps SpotifyNormal quality: 96 kbps High quality: 160kbps Extreme quality: 320kbps Google Play Music
Three quality settings, with a maximum of 320kbps. (They do not break it down.) Pandora (which no one should use, included for comparison) Maximum rate is 64kbps (adjusts automatically depending on your connection) Apple radio has no published spec. (so Apple of them!) To avoid misunderstandings, kbps is kiloBITS per second, so if one wants to know how many KiloBYTES are used while streaming, one has to divide the value by 8. Thus at highest quality of 320kbps, 40 KB would go through every second. For a song that is 3 minutes and 30 seconds long, this means 210 seconds * 40 KB = 8400 KB. Divided by 1024, it means 8.20313 MB to listen to the song once. A day has 1440 minutes, or 86400 seconds. If you listen non-stop to streaming for a whole day at 320kbps, this results in 86400*40KBps = 3456000 KB of data. Divided again by 1024, it gives you 3375.0 MB, or 3.2959 GB. Listening at 64kbps will reduce this 5 times, so only about 0.66 GB per day... I think that Spotify (the paid one) lets you listen to a song while disconnected from the network, and then reports the spins when you reconnect again? That might be a good approach to avoid constantly streaming data...
