Interesting read BUT NOT going to give him any hits on his video. For some reason have not appreciated his tweets and efforts to insert himself into Adam's roll out of GhostTown. Might be standard practice in music business but this is Adams roll out - not his. NoAngel @noangelpf Billboard - Sterling Fox Covers Adam Lambert's 'Ghost Town': Exclusive Video Premiere www.billboard.com/articles/news/6576142/sterling-fox-ghost-town-adam-lambert-cover-video-premiere … From Chunkey: if i had moo chunkeymonkey81 7m7 minutes ago Basically that bboard article about the cover is the writer of the song attention hoaring and basically saying Adam had no hand in this song Adam knows about this and is OK with it. It will not hurt Adam in any way -- so I really do not get the issue. Sterling Fox is Adam's friend, he co-wrote the song and he is covering it. There are loads of unapproved, unofficial remixes and covers of GT. I have a very simple view of the music business and Adam, if associating with Adam makes people more successful than he will have talented people competing to work with him. Am I going to put Sterling Foxes cover on repeat play? -- no.

Would it be wrong to say, now that I know Mr Fox also wrote EITN, I hope it is never a single?! The guy needs to just sit down! I have NEVER seen Bonnie or Sia doing this for songs they wrote. And I'll bet Katy had very little to do with the writing of Bonnie's co-write songs! Grrrrr!! Have you heard the expression "A rising tide lifts all boats"? Adam seems familiar with the concept and to have no problem with it. If his fame and success also helps his friends and colleagues, great! It takes nothing away from him, and fosters cooperation and collaboration that may benefit him in the future. Having said that, I am not nearly as magnanimous as Adam. I DO NOT LIKE people taking advantage of their association with Adam. DO NOT LIKE. I need to be a better person. But, in the mean time, I am hanging out with pattihum.

Cheriemelissa, Adam has a release date & it is being pushed everywhere, minus the UK's strange policies! He can't be everywhere at once, so I don't get what you mean?! There is no album to buy yet! I'm mostly talking about Ghost Town. Why isn't it pushed everywhere all at once, like Canada for instance. The biggest market, Toronto, doesn't have it yet. Makes no sence to me!!! Other artists don't have to be everywhere before their music is played. I guess I just don't understand!! I don't believe this is a correct observation, actually. The top artists, that will be added on any playlist without extra promo and are a non-brainer from a radio station perspective (i.e. like Taylor Swift, etc), they can do this. Just drop the single and everyone will play to the new tune. The artist is free to plan appearances, because everything they do is mega. The actual promo work of getting the song played, is a no-brainer and does not require the artists presence. But all the rest of the artists, are doing what you see with Adam. They are releasing singles at different times in different countries and are promoting them, each with a country or region specific promotional plan. Example: Avicii released his new single ‘Waiting For Love’ on May 22nd, but not here in the US. Here in the US it is scheduled for June 8. And I presume he has promo scheduled in the US for that (not following him, so cannot give you details, just selected him, because he is well known on Adam fan board). No artist can be everywhere in the world at the same time. If you happen to form your impression on how roll-outs of singles happen, by looking at the top 3 to 5 radio-play-artists in the world, please may I ask you to change that, I mean, obviously, you can do what you like, but I think you are destroying your own fun. You'll drive yourself nuts thinking he is getting a raw deal, when actually, Adam is finally getting the promo support, the radio support, the public support, the way I would have always wanted it for him. It is beautiful thing to watch, to see how streaming numbers are clearly a reflection of casual listeners playing it, and not just us, here, how radio is positive, how twitter is positive, how the trolls for the most part have found other things to do with their lives, and Adam can just present his music and see it take hold in the public conscience. I am so happy, to finally have the problem that there are multiple stations playing GT and I have to choose where to tune in, rather than hoping in the past that somebody would play it, and often finding that nobody did. Now, Harrisburg locally has been spinning GT since last week, and this week they added, and I already previously had B104 and Q102 online. So, now I can decide where I want to tune in. What a problem to have.

The problem I have with this article and him, is that he is basically saying he wrote the song. Ya, he mentions co-wrote, but where in his story of the history of the song is the "co" in his version? He's been singing it "for a long time" in his live shows! He got the idea driving back from Vegas! Everything he says undercuts Adam's version of the story & Adam's interpretation! Sorry, but I have nothing but "sit down, sir" feelings towards this man.

A little update from iTunes Poland (i forgot to post it together with radio charts updates ups :D) ... Thanks for the updates! I think it's better to not to make one huge post with everything in it but dose out the images/pics in several posts instead. It helps with the many readers who experience problems with too many images on one page. Whatever, nice work Poland!

Fine, but did you ever consider that he might be telling the truth? ...and I don't see too much discrepancy with what Adam's said, they could've had the same feelings/ideas of the Hollywood scene, SF just had a song demo about it - quite possible IMO.

Me too. And I wonder how much OTT bragging he would be doing if GT had turned out to be a flop/dud. Crickets?

So exited! I was in the taxi on the way home and heard a familiar whistle in the background (radio was turned down quite some). Tried to Shazam, but the volume was to low. The Taxi driver however notice me doing that and turned up the volume for me! It was GT indeed on SlamFM. Since he had that station on I asked the taxi drive if he heard that song more often and he said yes, it's played at least 4-5 times a day!! Very nice (although it's a small station it counts)! Then got home and saw that Q-music had replied to my tweet about them playing GT this afternoon. They played it about the same time! Then after that 3FM played it just 20 minutes later as well (according to their playlist). So in about 20 minutes time GT got played on 3 pop stations here in the Netherlands in prime time for everybody driving home from work and stuff. Really great! GT dropped a bit on Dutch iTunes but after those spins it rose 2 places again. Now on #14 overall and #8 Pop. The album keeps popping up in iTunes as well. Really exited of him getting to the Netherlands. Wonder where he'll be. nic42 I really hope you have tickets for the right show! So great for the Finberts to have him perform there. It is really happening in The Netherlands. Unfortunately, I only heard GT on radio once, but with the frequency you mentioned above, i should hear it soon. So glad GT is doing well and now he is even coming our country. Live is good

I'm with you on this, Belle. SF's explanation of the lyrics as being inspired by disillusionment with the Hollywood scene make more sense than the broken relationship scenario Adam has been talking about when you listen to them. But having said that, I admire Adam's spin on the lyrics which are much more media-friendly for interviews. He'd certainly be shooting himself in the foot if he went around sharing Sterling's interpretation! Not to mention Adam's version is one that many more people can relate to. I also agree with Q3 in that Sterling's version is pretty boring and would never in a million years be the hit that Adam's is shaping up to be. Just shows what a clever (re)arrangement and the best vocalist in the world can do to a mediocre song.
