Kanadie Thanks for posting. As a big fan of Gavin from the days when we are all much younger, I was intrigued that Adam was following him. (Note/Warning: Gavin used to autofollow - at least for a while - anyone who followed him on twitter. that always freaks me out a little.)
Over on the Music Recs thread, I dropped a vid of 'Glycerine' (one of the best songs ever? maybe) and a two more recent 'stripped' performances.

I enjoyed Haley's performance, even got goosebumps. But when we talk sexy & AI, Adam's the one. Pretty much every performance, but RoF & WLL were GREAT! And the FG strut down the stairs..... and BTBW "heavy metal thunder...." LOL, I'm easy when it comes to AFL.   |

Gelly, I think 'grit' might be the word you are looking for.  You mean the roughness or the growl that she throws in sometimes. I agree it is over used, but there are lovely things happening there as well. She has many different 'colours' to her voice. Oh thank you geezlouise, yes grit, lol you understood what I meant. And I love grit in a voice, and I think she's the best on AI, I just dont think she's THAT special, but this is just a matter of choice. That's pretty much how I feel gelly. Not necessarily OMG AMAZING, but the best (by far) on the show. And better than most many singers on the radio too. I just saw on twitter that you are limited to 10 votes per IP on the Ultimate Idol poll. I guess that means 10 votes per day. |
