Can't he and others just think she is the most talented? And also feel as many others do, that she's been treated unfairly by the judges? Yes, could be the case. And I have no doubt that Adam believes she is the best of the season, really talented and was not being unfairly treated. But it is happening at the same time that 19/Jimmy I. are also pushing Haley -- even giving her that Gaga song. And Kelly Clarkson, Elliot and a few other Idol alums plus some of the 19 preferred media people pushed her. Feels a bit like a major label promo to me. ETA: Guess I will get out of the knoll -- sometimes a cigar is just a cigar! No....please keep going with your theory....what does that mean major label roll out? What does that really mean?

Glambert_Fever *Holly by runawaysu t.co/eNDG8uC lmao! @adamlambert 's face cracks me upp in this!!! Who is the girl? Hahaha Wasn't this his friend Danielle?? I never saw this before but remember hearing that she asked Adam to sign her butt to be funny, never imagining that the picture would spread all over the internet. Anyone else remember something like this? Yes, it was her. From what I remember, someone put it on facebook and was hijacked and posted all over the internet. She mentioned it on the THS as well. Not about the facebook though, the fact that it was posted all over the internet.

Just starting to catch up BUT I am so excited wanted to share:
I was listening to my local radio today and they played FYI, the song! I was so excited I called the station after it was over and thanked them. Said I heard Adam Lambert FYI just now and love any Adam songs. And also I heard Time for Miracles a few weeks ago in the morning and thanked them for that too. Said I love WWFM and IIHY but enjoyed the variety:-)
I really think Adam #2 will be more embraced by radio faster than the first time around...

This article shows how brave and what a career risk it was for Adam to be honest. Gavin lied not because he was ashamed, but for fear of what it would do to his career. Quote from the article: I think at the outset there was a sort of fear - that was right at the beginning of Bush, and I didn’t want it to be part of it. It felt like a cheap shot, so I was like: ‘I’m not getting involved.’ At the time, both men denied the relationship, with Rossdale insisting that he and Marilyn ‘were, and still are, good friends’ but nothing more. However last year, Marilyn claimed in a U.S. magazine that he and Rossdale had been involved for five years. The star – famed for his long blonde hair in the 1980s - also said that he had initially denied the story because Bush were ‘just becoming successful in America’.
He was probably right at that time, at least about it affecting his career. Even in the two years since Adam was on Idol public opinion on gay issues have shifted a lot even if the politicians are still behind the times. After Adam Glee happened, Ricky Martin came out, Mikka came out (I think). I really think most people have no idea of the impact Adam had trying to break the radio barrier and public perceptions and the tight rope he had/has to walk. I hope some day after a long and respected career someone will write about his impact. My daughter and her friends, big glee fans not Adam, feel glee wouldn't have been sucessful without Adam on idol. It premiered the night of the idol finale. They pictured Glee as being Adam in High School. Would Mikka, Rickey Martin and the change be happening if Adam hadn't led the way? Was the public perception any different for Adam than Gavin? I am not blaming the others or questioning their decisions. Someone had to be brave enough to be first, it just happened to be Adam.

It never fails! My husband and I sit down to watch Idol and he says "Adam ruined Idol." "I don't even like this show anymore." I try to tell him no one is or ever will be like Adam. We have to get Adam out of our mind everytime we see a new batch of kids, and just concentrate on them. You can't speak of Adam in the same sentence with any of the Idol kids. It is like talking about Jesus and the kid next door. There can never be any words that can allow my husband to compare Adam with anyone else we know. We have lived through all the greats, and at this time on our planet, there is only Adam who stands out. He can't be compared to anyone. There is no one else young or old to compare him with. What do I need to say to this husband of mine to stop the same conversation every Wednesday and Thursday night. I am ready to pull my hair out. There is nothing you can do. It's the same thing that happens with sports. Sooner or later someone is going to start to talk about the greatest quarterback, hitter, goalie, forward, center, etc. You enjoy the show and you reminince about the greatest. Enjoy.

Yes, could be the case. And I have no doubt that Adam believes she is the best of the season, really talented and was not being unfairly treated. ETA: Guess I will get out of the knoll -- sometimes a cigar is just a cigar! No....please keep going with your theory....what does that mean major label roll out? What does that really mean? I mean the timing of all the Haley support fells a bit staged -- like a PR promotion. So Adam could love her, and Kelly could love her and Slezak could love her and so on, but all the promo happened around the same time. When you release a new album, movie, TV show, etc., one of the things that is done is to get influential people to "talk" about it. So when a new album is going to be released, the promotion usually involves getting other artists to talk about the new album and/or how great the lead single is. You get bloggers to write stories about the artist. And so on. With Twitter and other social media -- the buzz is now mostly digital. In most cases, the people who are connected to a business and/or artist who generate positive buzz love/like the music and only get involved when they have something good to say and believe in the artist. But the timing of what they do is often triggered by a reminder from a PR person or management. Idol has a pattern of building people up, then having a shocking boot a week or two later. ETA: I trust Adam to always be honest. I do not trust 19/Fox/or Jimmy Iovine.

just caught up on the thread....
I always feel like I should put a scroll disclaimer so here it is...
______________SCROLL ALERT_________________
1. the Q102 poll? what a waste of time and energy. meaningless, stupid and clearly just mean to get hits for the stations website. If Adam wins who cares? If Clay wins who cares? at the end of the day this poll means jack squat.
2. I get that people here think that Adam's the sexiest thing on two legs and def the sexiest thing ever on idol but trying to debate his opinion on Haley's performance IMO is kind of strange and a little disrespectful. I say let him offer her the praise he thinks she deserves without chiming in to "correct" him.
3. I think Adam and Co are endorsing Haley because she's the best singer they've had this season. She's a good performer and she's gotten shit on by the judge's consistently despite her superior vocals. I don't think there is some ulterior motive, especially by RCA artists (Kelly and Adam) to endorse an artist who won't even be signed to the same label.
back to your regularly scheduled programming ;D

I wonder if it's because the judges have been so bizarre in their feedback this year- over the top positive for some people, inexplicably negative for others (including Haley). The judges are usually weird about somebody, but in the past it has seemed to me that they have a specific agenda which people can typically see through. The agenda doesn't seem as clear this year (I change my mind from week to week about who they are pimping for the finals), the judges aren't judging, and the previous contestants are speaking out. It feels like they think they have to. I don't think Adam, Kelly, Elliot or Melinda Dolittle would speak out for Haley, if they didn't feel she's the most talented contestant left and that she's been unfairly criticized by the judges. The thing that I think is interesting is that I'm sure people have had favorites before, and also thought that the judges were being unfair, but we didn't see this kind of public support by the previous Idol folks. I've tried to decide what makes the difference, and the only thing that makes sense to me is the utter lack of judging going on has gotten them speaking up.
