Adam is being praised and his album is being said to be amazing and "wait till we hear the other songs on it" by DJ's and lots of people in the music business. He is getting lots of spins and more added every day, he is getting good international press for GT and the album, and people are anxiously waiting for TOH to be released..one of the most anticipated albums to be released this year. No one disputes his vocal excellence. He has two of the POP world's BEST song writers producing the album and, with Adam, they have taken, I believe, pop music and music in general, to another level. So...I don't give a f*uck how RS rates TOH. RS who actually think Taylor Swift and some others in pop have true 'superstar' quality voices in music....well...OK...whatever floats their boat. They definitely have a right to their opinion....as I do to mine and they ain't gonna rain on my parade. Adam is different, he challenges the 'norm', and there is no cookie cutter formula to put his music into...thank goodness AFL has many colors...layers..and can not have a 'label' pinned to him. What's important to me...Adam's music being heard internationally so people can feel his energy and his magic and judge for themselves how his music makes them feel. Looking forward to all the promos ahead and hearing how much he is liked as a person by all who come in contact with him and how much they love his music. Keeping my eyes focused on the prize for Adam.

Regarding the RS review, I don't think 3 is a bad score at all, first of all, and it's just one writer's opinion. Another reviewer may have given it another mark.

It would be nice if there was general acclamation (including RS), but I don't think the review is "bad" at all. The reviewer acknowledges his Queen frontman status, and the end says, "he's one of the biggest personalities in pop." She criticizes a few lyrics, but says he sings them "with conviction." Yeah, it's a 3, but IMHO, RS just doesn't want to drink the Max Martin kool-aid. You have to admit "haterade" in Rumors, is a bit of a stretch. eta: I'll type it out.

Regarding the RS review:
1. This reviewer does not like pop albums.
2. They are written by different writers and are not comparable. > They gave Lana del Rey 3-1/2 stars for "Ultraviolence", then pick it as the 7th best album of the year.
3. They miss a lot.
I did not get all elated about the Trespassing 4-star review (although I did like the Zeus in a thong line). I am not going to be down about a 3-star review.

I was searching and hoping to see it online, but I I am not successful...it is small enough that I can type it up.

AL - TOH WB * * * Singer's third LP is laced with big hooks, over-the-top energy ----------- AL is so great at glam-rock theatrics that he toured the world as Queen's frontman last year. On his third LP, though, the onetime American Idol runner-up channels the softer corners of his impressive vocal range over radio-friendly deep-house beats (check the excellent "Ghost Town"). Lambert is still larger-than-life on tracks like the power ballad "There I Said It," where he sings the silly line "I'm a grown-ass man" with utter conviction, and the pop-rock highlight "Lucy" ignites with a guest appearance from Brian May. Even when the lyrics verge on ridiculousness (on the Tove Lo-featurning 'Rumors," Lambert denounces "haterade"), he's one of the biggest personalities in pop. Brittany Spanos.

Well that's super depressing. I'm gutted. I can't imagine how Adam feels. Umm... I don't know whether it's just me that feels this way but I dont think its that big of a deal. 3 is not a bad review especially for RS, and it doesn't have significant impact on sales anyway It's not just you, I'm really finding it hard to care what RS thinks. ETA: Just read the review, it's OK anyway - "laced with big hooks" is the important part because that speaks to the album's commercial potential.

It actually doesn't sound too bad. We got new lyrics "I'm a grown-ass man and "haterade". LOL

If this is the article, other than the 3 stars, I think it's quite positive!

AND I say, nothing wrong with any of that. We (me) have said worse about the lyrics. Velcro - seriously???? lol and MOOOO! edit o add: those little sounds or use of odd words is one of the things that makes his music exciting to me. She just forgot to finish putting the stars in place, damn keyboard!
