So my guess is that WB has some business connection to iHeart Radio but I don't know what it is or how it works. Today, Jason Derulo, another WB signed artist, is the guest DJ for iHeart Radio just like Adam was yesterday. Today, Adam is taking over all of the iHeart Radio tweeting at 5 PM EDT. Adam is also doing a special show in NYC at the iHeart Radio Theater to celebrate the release of his album, there is an iHeart Radio live streaming event with @adamlambert set for #TheOriginalHigh release date of 6/16, AND many of the iHeart Radio stations have added GT to their playlists. Could this all be a coincidence? Nope, not a coincidence. Clearly WB (and Adam) made a deal. iHeart plays his song and Adam does shows, guest visits, djs, etc without charge. Actually pretty common. My guess is that WB made the exact same deal for Jason Derulo because he's doing the same stuff. So it's a sort of a barter deal. I guess that RCA either didn't have the connections to do this or didn't care enough about Adam and his music to bother helping him out this way. |

I wonder if Shosh knows for certain? Maybe someone can found out if it's the same everywhere are just in the UK. Call me getting more confused!  Q3 can you give us an answer about this? ETA: I'm going to continue to do it on a replay loop. Ok, the "first 10 each day" is totally new info for me...currently I am playing GT, and GT only, 24x7. I play nothing else "not to waste time" on songs that are not counted towards chart positions... IF the 10 count is true then I would loop a playlist with other TOH songs on it. (I see no reason to play anything else as I am not interested in listening and no interest in helping anyone else with counts). So, until we know that Shosh is in fact correct I will continue looping GT. Obviously the same question stands re RDIO and other streaming services. Another thought: I could add streaming services to my Spotify/RDIO/YT list if the "first 10" limitation is correct. |

THIS is why we have to STREAM, especially the first week that TOH is released, to increase the sales of TOH. For exaple, Florence gained 10,000 album sales from Spotify streaming by her fans and Jason Derulo moved from debuting at #7 with 22,605albums sold to debuting at #4 with 35,743 albums due to his fans streaming. Compare the two charts to see how much an album can gain from streaming that first week and how much it can move UP on the chart: BUILDING ALBUM SALES CHART hitsdailydouble.com/building_album_chartSALES PLUS STREAMING CHART hitsdailydouble.com/sales_plus_streamingwait....Jason Derulo with all his major hits is only expected to sell 22,605 alubms?!! I can't forget how RCA did practically 'NO' promo for Adam during the Trespassing Era. I would see all the hype and mag adds for other artists but AFL had do go to radio stations over and over again with these intimate performances (which are great for the fans--up close) but the label did nothing to promote Trespassing after these appearances. Then Adam practically did all the media stuff himself through his own twitter account. Maybe I'm all wrong since I am not working in the industry but that's how I see it. If you can't get your record label to support you and get some deals for you to get your music played on radio....how in the heck is the music ever going to have a chance to become a hit? Well....I didn't mean to go off on my 'soapbox' but I saw how hard (and keeping so much positve energy) Adam worked during the Trespassing Era with little label help and I get a little sad but mostly mad!lol  |

That is very interesting. I hope we can follow the hitsdailydouble chart when TOH is released.
I worry about how many TOH albums will sell since all the songs are already released. Why would people even bother to buy the album when they have already heard and probably downloaded the songs. Kinda like the old saying "Why buy the cow when you get the milk for free."  |
