Every time I scroll past the "ultimate idol" poll, I throw in a vote but really, this poll is kind of sad. Not for Adam because in his world it is really not important. I doubt very seriously that Bonnie McKee, for instance, is waiting for the outcome before agreeing to write a song with him. If I remember correctly (from 2 or 3 pages back, yes my failing memory does last that long) earboners are being had without poll results.
In a world where Archuleta beats out Jennifer Hudson and Aiken beats Carrie Underwood, it can not be about actual numbers of people voting or recognition of real world success. It is just about Idol and in the case of Aiken, at least, that is pretty much all he has left and that is kind of sad. Enough for a modest career, but sad. Plus, I don't think he appreciates the fans who exhibit this level of adoration which is sad for them. He certainly doesn't give them the love that Adam gives us as a fanbase.
I will keep throwing in my votes because Q102 has been a supporter of Adam but will also be glad when the contest is over.

Years ago when we moved from NJ to CA, I left my son's dog with a friend and was going to get him once we were settled in our new home. Well, Tickles (my son who was 7 at that time named him because it always licked and tickled him) became very sad and ran away. I kept thinking of stories about dogs showing up at their master's house eventually. But CA is so far from NJ! Never told my son what happened to his beloved Tickles - just said he was very happy at his new home and then got him a new dog.
