Trying to catch but it is hard when RL keeps interfering ???
Just watched Bruno Mars' latest music video on VH1 - think it is called "Lazy".
Now that is a good one - just him and some guys in ape masks. It is very simple, catchy,
fun, and I am sure did not cost $10M. Loved the part when he sings he will just put his hands in his pants (reminds me of BB's pic with his hands in his pants) and he does not care or something like that. Bruno is one talented guy. His other two videos were not big productions but very well done. So big $$ does not mean great video.
I am tired of Gaga's videos. They all blend together - same meme: scanty outfits, dance
moves, muscular sexy men and the songs just meh.
Now how does this relate to our BB? He has two videos with dancing but each one a little
different. FYE was choreographed but IIHY was a free for all with his friends. WWFM was
very simple with just him mostly. Loved TFM (always have a soft spot for this because it
was his first) - his look here is very different. Love, love "dirty" Adam - somehow it reminded me of a young Hugh Grant. All four could not have cost nearly the $10M for Judas.
One thing I think Adam gets is that mixing things up keeps people interested. I think it
helps keep him interested as well. After all, part of his training has been learning how to reinvent himself in different roles.
it seems like a tricky business to give fans what they like, yet not allow yourself to be trapped by their expectations. If you achieve longevity, down the road, being trapped like that would get pretty tiresome.
Look how invested fans get even in how an artist looks... Change things up and you are
ruining their fantasy.
It is smart of Adam to make changing things up be a part of his brand. He started that
immediately with his AI performances, both in his delivery of songs and with his looks as he performed them.
He has truly made me a flexible fan, and I don't think that is typical for me. Granted, I have never been a "fan" before, so I dont have a typical defined way of stanning, but my personality has always been the predictable type. I have always been that person who
orders the same thing at restaurants over and over again once she discovers something she really likes there.
But Adam, he can dish me up whatever he wants, and I'll be there enjoying the meal. I might like some things on the plate better than others, but taken all together, the variety offered enhances the flavors.
When he does something I find lulsy, I find myself thinking giddily, "Oh, that Adam," (said in the same voice inside my head Adam uses for "oh, those pesky relationships...")
Adam stanning, I have realized, is making me more flexible. I am opening my mind up to
find pleasure in a greater variety of things than I did pre-Adam. I am choosing to order
different things on dinner menus and order up different things in my life. I am surprising myself and those who know me best, and that is fun.
Thanks to Adam, I am mixing things up and finding that variety really can be the spice of life.
ETA: So good to see you back,
Catz!
That drawing is incredible!
