Pop movement is so slow, not complaining, that's just how it goes. Trying to remember how things went with WWFM---when would a big station start to put a song on a power rotation? Top 20? Or would it have to be higher? Also, does the label work with a station like Z100 regarding when they start to really push a song? Timing is so important

On one hand there is the concern that it is moving up not so much now because of big spin increases as much as other songs dropping and it at least is more or less holding it's relative position. AI is dropping and that is concerning but that seems to be the story of the last week or so. On the other hand, GT enters the AT 40 today and most likely cracks Billboard. The album is set for a respectable release and it appears that the WBR strategy is a long range promotion and build for the album and the artist as opposed to a flashy entry number. Adam by all measures seems happy and confident. I am such a newbie in this world and trying to weigh this juncture. what to you all think? I was so impressed with the in depth Lindsy interview and Adam's thoughtful unfolding of his journey from theater to pop. And I was really happy that he seemed to be secure that he is established and will always work and is just doing what needs to be done in the moment. I also love his clarity about needing to be creative and free of the tyranny of stultifying situations even those he always aspired towards like a big run of a Broadway show.

I don't think GT's path on CHR is unusual for a song that is not Swift, Sheeran, Maroon 5, etc. Until it gets top 15, or so, I am guessing that much of its movement will come from other songs falling. I remember WWFM had a similar path. At some point, though, WWFM did start to get huge three-digit spin increases. I just can't remember when.
Everyone I know likes the song, even people who normally aren't Adam fans. If it gets heard, I think it will catch on. It is just a matter of it getting high enough on the chart to start getting better and bigger spins.

Especially streaming and downloading is going very good. GT is #4/#5 in iTunes for quite some days already and #17 in Spotify yesterday. Airplay can do a bit better since 3fm isn't playing it much in the last week. Q-music and Radio 538 have it on quite nice rotation (3x a day, yesterday even 4x a day). SlamFM is also still playing it but that is a very small station. Highest position WWFM: Dutch Top 40: #7 Mega Top 50: #8 Single Top 100: #23 The other songs didn't make it to our charts.
