Did GT get its spins on AT 40 for CHR and HAC? It's been on the HAC countdown for a while and it's #40 on CHR now so it's not a guessing game anymore it gets the spins.

The negative update is pretty much because of the lost SNOL spin. Did anyone ever figure out how many stations are currently spinning the song? We know it's at least 71 now.

Does that mean it will be like this on the published report?

Probably, as I don't think anything is getting pulled this week so the only thing that would change it would be a spin adjustment and those rarely amount to more than a few spins either way and the songs above and below are too far away for that to be likely.

Do you happen to know what the current situation is regarding Starters ?

Do you happen to know what the current situation is regarding Starters ? The starters report sometimes doesn't come up on All Access (like this morning) but that doesn't necessarily mean there aren't any. The last time I did get it to come up there was one station in Chicago. But as I've posted several times this is a natural lull in the song's rise. It's just in to the top 30 and the stations already spinning are increasing spins at a moderate pace. The leaders reports have looked better this week in that the majority of the decreases from leaders have been under 5 spins which is often just normal playlist adjustment. The few bigger drops were stations that had a super good spin count last week and backed off a little. This is also normal. What is interesting to me is that is seems that the spin rate for the song is grouped pretty nicely across the stations with the leaders not being way out in front of others. This will help in the long run as it will keep the song from peaking early at the leaders with the follower stations playing catch up. This was one of the things that kept WWFM from getting higher than it did because the leaders had been way out spinning other stations for a LONG time and once that Hot 100 #10 happened after the Idol performance the leaders hung it up but a lot of the late following stations were still increasing spins. If all the stations had been more coordinated and peaked at the same time the song might have gotten higher on the charts than it did. At this point none of the leading stations has hit any kind of high rotation so there is still a lot of room for increase. As far as more stations adding we may not see many until the song gets closer to top 20.

I do have concerns about some hot songs below balancing the dropping songs and keeping GT stagnant if the spins don't pick up but I am hoping the appearance in Billboard and the AT40 on both CHR and HAC will help. I know the AT40 gives us spins on the weekend, does it help with the Seacrest stations during the week that it has made that list or were they spinning it anyway? If they were spinning, are they inclined to spin more when it is AT40?

Hard to tell how it will progress but the chart run on the actual Mediabased published charts starting from when it hit 40 has been 40-38-36-31-28-28(TW). If AT40 follows that progression then it might be a couple of weeks before we see more adds coming off the countdown appearance. Hard to tell at this point what radio will do but I would be prepared for a plateau here and just hope GT can hold position and not loose ground. Probably won't have a good indication until Tuesday or Wednesday. A Hot 100 appearance should also help and a good album debut should also be encouraging to radio.

The last "spin increase" report showed 158 stations spinning GT!
I am OK with today's report. Last weekend was SOOOOOO big it wreaked havoc on the updates ALL week. This week's updates should be good, with positive bullets, after tomorrow. I didn't want it to fall a place today and it didn't. If it could hold onto 28 or even 29, it should pick up a few places with the negatives and recurrents over the next 2 weeks. (No recurrents today)
OFC, if it has peaked (which i don't think it has) that is a whole 'nother story. Arianna drops a new song on Tuesday. This album has been out a while, so not sure how it will be received by radio.
