OK, someone tell me what the most important thing is for me to do today for album sales. I'll be at work and can only do one thing! Open up as many of the following streaming services as you can (most of them are free, or have free trials), put Ghost Town on loop, and leave them there. You can turn down each volume to zero if you don't want to listen to it while working The services to open up (if they are available to you are):
- Spotify
- Rdio
- Beats Music
- Google Play
- Medianet
- Rhapsody
- Slacker
- Xbox Music
I'm playing Nica's list at www.rdio.com/people/nicanica236/playlists/13300896/The_Original_High/?utm_source=linkshare&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=je6NUbpObpQ|381371&utm_content=1|10 on RDIO which seems to play much better with my computer (doesn't take as much memory or such) than Spotify does. You must click the looping button down in the player after the track time at first to make it loop, but once I did that it has been a smooth breeze to use. Left it running all night and didn't have to restart my computer to actually do work stuff today.

Do we need to keep streaming the album after the 1st week???? I have the 99 cent deal but after that monthly fee of 9.99. I only was streaming his songs. So need to whether to keep streaming If you're only streaming to help Adam in the first week, I think it makes far more sense to spend the money on another cd. In fact, when I look at the numbers, no one alone will realistically be able to add an album to the first week by streaming. As a collective, we can add some albums. However, if we are spending on streaming instead of buying albums, it's counterproductive. The only streaming that will really help Adam is by many thousands of non-fans who would never buy the album. ******************************************************************************************** 24 x 60= 1440 min in a day 1 song = 3.5 min 1440 / 3.5 = about 441.5 songs in a day 1500 songs = 1 album 1500 / 441.5 = 3.4 days It would take one of us 3.4 days playing only TOH songs 24/7 in order to gain 1 album sale through streaming. If someone could run 2 or 3 devices, it might be possible to gain an album in the first week. ******************************************************************************************** If fans streaming can increase the number of non-fans streaming, that might make it worthwhile. ******************************************************************************************** If I'm thinking about this wrong, someone please explain it to me.

I have been trying to think of something equivalent for an analogy. Holst, glampoon, can you help? It's a little akin to seeing a painting and days later being able to draw it accurately using the exact same shades of color to match the original. It is not something that can be taught. It is an innate sense for pitch, and Adam obviously has it. A rare ability to go with the rest of his rare abilities. Isn't that what's called perfect pitch? Or that's something different? Maybe this is "pitch memory", like you have "muscle memory" (but muscle memory is something you develop through constant practice, so maybe not the best analogy).... It definitely could be perfect pitch. Or closely related. Perfect pitch usually refers to the ability to name a note without reference to any other note or instrument, just by hearing it sung or played. Of course, that assumes you know the names of the different pitches, and if you have never studied music formally, you probably don't. Perfect pitch may also be considered the ability to sing a note when told the name of the pitch. That assumes that you have excellent control of your voice as well as knowledge of the names of the notes. Adam certainly has the ability to sing a note, but I don't think he knows the names of different notes. So, testing perfect pitch on him would be difficult. But his ability to accurately reproduce a pitch he has heard days earlier certainly points at perfect pitch.

Thinking of how powerful a group of dedicated people can be.
For me, imaging that I am part of a group made streaming feel so impactful.
It's not that I, personally, have to stream 1500 times and only get 1 album sale for all that work. It is that just 1500 fans, together, with just one click equal 1 album sale. That makes every repeat feel so powerful. Just 1499 more people have to do the same thing, and every few minutes, another album sold.
Feel the power together.
And thank Spotify for reporting all numbers. So that all you have to do is put a track on repeat. Sound on or off. Every few minutes, 1500 people together, another album sold.

Oh, for Gawd's sake, the headline doesn't even match the story. It's all 'Adam is OUT for Madonna, WAR, WAR, WAR,' then, 'Oh, actually, it's not really.....'???? The reason I don't read newspapers anymore.
