Bamafan, I was so sorry to hear about the storm damage but I know you will get through it. Thank God for the fact that neither you, your husband nor the all important Adam collection were harmed. Good luck with the recovery and please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. You know we are here for you.
Bamafan, it was good to hear that you and your family are safe. I'm sorry for the loss of your home, business and treasures. From the little I know of you, you seem to have a bright and determined spirit that will not only help you through this but take you beyond. Hugs!
“Go and make interesting mistakes, make amazing mistakes, make glorious and fantastic mistakes. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here. Make. Good. Art.” ~Neil Gaiman
Bamafan, I'm not a frequent poster and I don't know you, but feel that I do through this great Adamtopia community. I was so sorry to hear of the horrible damage and ordeal you've had to deal with, so am wishing you and your family much strength in this difficult time. No ninja skills here, but of course others will dress up this message thread for your entertainment! Very glad to hear you are alright and that you haven't lost your sense of humor!
I am like a tree, from my top bough I can see the footsteps that led up to me
bamafan, I remember met you in Atlanta, GA before Adam's concert. And you're a woman with good and positive spirit that light up the room, just like Adam.
I am so sorry of what you and your family have to go through. There're words, what didn't kill us makes us strong. I know it's not easy but to actually experience it. I really hope you and your family feel all of the love and well wishes sent your way from Adamtopia.
Bamafan, I don't delurk often, but I had to this time to tell you that I am thinking about you and your family, and wishing all the best for you. Your strength and positivity is inspiring. My wish for you is that your rebuilding proceeds as fast as humanly possible. All of us at ATOP miss you.
Having grown up in a house with a storm cellar, there is only one thing I can think of to give and I am blowing the dust off one of those mason jars of preserved peaches right now.
I'm not sure how long it has been here but my mama said these are emergency supplies. ;D
But really, I am sorry for what you are going through and hope it will all work out in the end. Sometimes big life events allow us to rethink and often confirm the rightness of our current path but sometimes guide us to another.
I mean it but that was too corny. Just good luck going forward.
Bamafan - wanted to let you know that even tho I don't post often and am not tech savvy enough to bring the pretty, I lurk a whole lot (A WHOLE LOT) and feel like a friend thru you wonderful posts - all positive energy to you for a quick return to normalcy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and you family.
Bamafan, having witnessed firsthand the destruction nature can rain down on you (the entire island of Kauai was destroyed by Hurricane Iniki and I was there) I know how hard it is to pick up and move forward. What becomes most important is the support and camaraderie of family, friends and a shaken but determined community. I've seen how people pull together in need. I've seen how strong they become. I do not know you but have gleaned from your wonderful posts that you are just the type of person who can not only survive this disaster, but come out of it stronger and better than before. Remember, we, too, are a part of your community. We love you and support you. Adam brought us together but we stayed because we love the people in our new family.
We are here for you.
I'm thinking of you, trusting in you, and sending you love, light and all the positivity I can muster. You are not alone.
