saraswati - welcome to Atop. What a great first post to share your experience seeing Adam for the first time. Saraswati, welcome! May I ask what you observed during soundcheck? What was Adam doing? Lots of gestures to Gary? Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I was in GA section near the front, so I couldn't hear too much of what Adam was saying (something about the reverb) and a lot of hand gestures.

Nice that it appears to be diplo's official twitter, but too bad he didn't include the dot before the @!

Thanks. Interesting. Of course, I automatically do that as I listen to anything Adam does, when he gets to the edges of his range, but I enjoy seeing what others hear, too. I agree with most of this. Except that falsetto is not a "register." Am I being picky here? And a couple of the phrases s/he identified as falsetto I hear as head voice. Different technique, tone, and strength. Whatever. It is impressive for pop music. I have a question about this video. Are the low notes in After Hours indeed A2? I'm asking because since I've been infected by the Adam virus I've also been trying to find out more stuff about my own vocal range. I've used an app on my phone to try things out, but then I can get down to about C3, but that's it. But I can sing those notes on After Hours or at least I think I can (didn't have an audience yet that can confirm). Maybe it's easier to get to the notes while singing a line than just produce that single note. But was just wondering. I've never had much training, but I love the fact that I can sing everything from Adam on the notes he sings them. On most other male singers I have to sing an octave higher because they are going way to low. The A2s are debatable, IMO. The first sounds more like a slightly flat, breathy B2. The second one is an A2, but very weak, breathy, almost whispered. Is that the note you are talking about? Sometimes it is easier to "walk" your way down to a note on a melody line.
