I went to Wal-mart twice this week looking for Adam's album. No luck. There was not even an empy space where they would have stocked it :( So, I went to our local music shop that I had never been in before, sort of grungy and small, but they had 1 copy of the explicit version. I asked if they had more because I wanted to get another one for my daughter who is not YET a fan. They said they would have another one in next Tuesday. ONE!!?? So I asked if this was normal or if this guy just wasn't very popular and he said "Oh, no, he has a great following.". So WTF? Anyway, he said CD sales are wired like that,not many people buy CDs like that anymore. OK? James Taylor had 4...Guess I' ll run back ther on Tuesday Walmart has Adam on the top self of new releases. It is not in a space in the regular stock. They are only stocking the clean version. Target and Best Buys are good bets. Guess my Walmart didn't get the notice - no TOH's at all - anywhere. No Hilary and no Nate either. Funny that they have an entire horizontal top row of JT - 20-25 at least. I'll check again tomorrow. sigh. |

Yesterday checked my local Best Buy - the music section was almost impossible to find - on the lowest level (in Manhattan they "grow" from ground level DOWN, so it's two escalators down from the entrance, in the far most corner. Once we (I was with two ATOPers) found the section it took several minutes to find Adam - 6 Deluxe CDs on the 2nd from the top shelf a bit below eye level, behind him was a lonely Gaga CD... It looked so dead there, like nobody ever buys anything in that corner of the store...I didn't look for Nate or JT... |
