Clinton Brentwood Lee, of Brentwood Photography in St. Pete FL, is my new hero for his incredible response to the "client" who no longer wanted him to photograph their wedding because of his support of same-sex marriage!! Would love to use one of these gorgeous Fault photos as my new desktop, but don't think DH would understand!!!!! I'm already pushing the envelope by using the beautiful photo of Adam with his left hand on his shoulder as my desktop!! DH likes Adam and doesn't usually have anything to say about what I choose to display around the house, but I'd feel "guilty" putting up one of those sexy shots!

Some of both actually. I enjoy pretty pictures as much as anyone, but it does strike me that most of these magazines are not trageted at music buyers or concert goers. So yes, exposure but who really is seeing this besides fashion buffs and existing fans? For me, if I am going to spend $35-$40 on something Adam related, I will buy two more albums not a magazine where 100% of the profit goes into the magazines pocket. YMMV. Shrug. I agree, graciejane. The majority of Adam covers are on a very limited reach, "fancy" mags. They sure produce excellent artsie looking beautiful photos but it is not clear how much of a promo those mags deliver. Like you, I started thinking in "TOH Album Cost Equivalents" :D and decided that 2 TOHACEs is too much for 1 magazine. To me, it is not about the magazines or the readership of such. It is about rebranding Adam. And about the broader PR he gets because the pop media loves to publish anything about Adam, knowing it will draw lots of hits. From the beginning, Adam was a celebrity more than a singer to many. They knew his name, but had probably never heard him sing. This is neither good or bad; it just is. But, his celebrity status or notoriety has been "the gay guy", "the EMO/goth guy", "the American Idol winner" "the guy with the eye-liner and heavy make-up ---- ewwww." It seems to me that they are re-branding him as a strikingly handsome, sophisticated, articulate James Bond-like MAN who has gained world-wide recognition for his impressive voice by singing for the iconic rock band, Queen. He has moved beyond that earlier image you may have of him. Gone is the preening, excess and flamboyance. Here is a MAN of style and compelling presence. If they re-brand him in this way, the transition towards starring in movies, as he is already hinting at, will happen, as will other expansions of his career. IMO.

Every time Adam's fans sell out a magazine, that magazine is more inclined to put him on their cover again later (Fault is a great example of this)... leading to even more promo for his music/brand + building relationships with these important media contacts... all of this leads to more music sales. It might not be easy to see because it's not always direct correlation (magazine cover sales = music sales)... sometimes it just making sure Adam's image is 'getting out there'. It DOES work. It builds celebrity which leads to more opportunities to promote his music (late night shows, award shows, etc.) which leads to sales.

Hmmmm. Speak-singing is what RS called it. That is just the strangest article ... the text is austerely factual and no opinion whatsoever is made to indicate how the reporter felt about the performance nor is any mention made of Adam, just the video. Odd.
