And boy , we DID get a great album (the best so far , IMO , my faves are Lucy , Ghost Town , Rumors , TOH , and There I said It) But I was NOT ready for this kind of pic . At least not yet . I've seen posts about Adam touring, why isn't he touring now etc. I brought it over becaue of the Rufus/Darkness and Tove Lo thing made me think of Adam. He could obviously fill that venue easily but my guess - based on nothing - was that he would want bigger venues and amass more and new fans. Um I guess I have no point, nica. Sorry. I always post and no one ever comments unless they object. Can a mod please pm me on how to delete my account? Happy to go back to lurking. Happycat, please don't delete your account. I understand how you feel, but diverse voices are appreciated and needed. please stay. I don't think that question was made disrespecting you. It was just a discussion question because we all love to hear the many different opinions we all share here. |

OK, this has gotten WAYYYYY too heavy, sorry. I totally agree that Bo Rap was horribly sung, but no song is sacred to me, and sometimes a concert experience is just about spontaneous, unpolished, sloppy moments. K's performance of the song was certainly a failure in most ways, and I probably would not have enjoyed it much myself had I been there. I actually think you make a valid point, and certainly some of the media frenzy about this will be based on that ‘baggage.’ As for your comment: sometimes a concert experience is just about spontaneous, unpolished, sloppy moments... I love those moments, that's what the live experience is all about, but here it didn’t work this time, and together with the 'best rock star in the world 'rant, it just made him seem a bit pompous, and I suppose it shows that the song is sacred to many. Phew, it did get heavy,  but hey, nevermind, it started a conversation.....anyone got any naked pics of Adam? |

I can't remember the last time Adam said anything uncomplimentary about another artist. This is great! There was that Les Miz .... Man takes his singing seriously. I think the best way to react to this ugly Kanye mess would be to not react at all. All he wants is attention. But Adam just couldn't help it. |

Midwifespal I really appreciated your post. And to tie back to Queen, Kanye did bring ballet to the masses with his "Runaway" song which is terrific. Nice photos. I guess they are keeping to the black & white theme. People were talking about Tori Kelly? Isn't she a Max Martin project? And with the Weeknd Martin seems to be non-stop. OT: saw that both Tove Lo and The Darkness (separately) will be performing in Philly in Oct to a 1000 seat venue. Adam could do that too with TOH but it would be the same 1000 fans who fly around for him and have been with him since GNT. I have wondered why Adam's maagement is not being booking him into more of the festival type events. That seems like a much more effective way to grow his fan base than just touring radio stations, answering the same mindless questions over and over. Having a captive audience of the desired demographics hear him sing and see him perform, imo would go a long way to help him to build new fans. And quite frankly after this Trevor project event is done, I hope I never see him booked into another casino venue unless it is something huge in Vegas. That is the epitome of gray hair world, of which I am one. |

To D.C. area listeners and beyond, iHeart's @hot995 hasn't played Ghost Town since it placed the song on their Online Request Line (you can thumbs up/down songs and click the alert me when it's played button) a few days ago. I can confirm the Online Request songs listed are in fact those being played (some like SHM's Don't Worry Child (from about 2013?) are a mystery but it's getting played at least once a day). The list of Top Songs of the Week remains puzzling and disingenuous -- Adam dropped from a listed 15 or 16 last couple of weeks to 17. Weirdly every other song listed in the top 20 is definitely getting a lot of play (Adam is almost just below Derulo's Want to Want Me and Cheerleader (WtWM is played constantly and Cheerleader getting more spins steadily) -- immediately below GT is Style (TSwift) def getting played even with Bad Blood at higher rotation. Any way, if you have the time and inclination maybe go over and rate some songs including GT (really easy and really fast) -- and consider hitting the 'alert me' button. That's at www.hot995.com - I think the smallish request line box is in same place on iHeart stations on right, just under column of 'Hot Contests'. |
