To D.C. area listeners and beyond, iHeart's @hot995 hasn't played Ghost Town since it placed the song on their Online Request Line (you can thumbs up/down songs and click the alert me when it's played button) a few days ago. I can confirm the Online Request songs listed are in fact those being played (some like SHM's Don't Worry Child (from about 2013?) are a mystery but it's getting played at least once a day). The list of Top Songs of the Week remains puzzling and disingenuous -- Adam dropped from a listed 15 or 16 last couple of weeks to 17. Weirdly every other song listed in the top 20 is definitely getting a lot of play (Adam is almost just below Derulo's Want to Want Me and Cheerleader (WtWM is played constantly and Cheerleader getting more spins steadily) -- immediately below GT is Style (TSwift) def getting played even with Bad Blood at higher rotation. Any way, if you have the time and inclination maybe go over and rate some songs including GT (really easy and really fast) -- and consider hitting the 'alert me' button. That's at www.hot995.com - I think the smallish request line box is in same place on iHeart stations on right, just under column of 'Hot Contests'. Well, here's what the station is reporting to Mediabase and spins increased from 7 last week to 11 this week. 48 39 Up this week ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town 11 7 4 0.1989 Well, yes. My post late Thursday night I noted a slight increase in spins. I saw GT had been added to the request line either late Friday or sat a.m. - on Sat afternoon I signed up for alerts for GT. I have rcvd alerts for other two songs I signed up for but none for GT from then until just a bit after 8 tonight. My entire goal was to alert other dc area fans to developments on local radio - for me fandom is about adam - not me.

Just read the Stockholm interview and: One of my prized possessions is a vinyl Tommy performed with the London Symphony Orchestra. I do not necessarily want him to be in Tommy but something that great would be awesome.

Here's another really nice interview (from UK) that was mentioned on Twitter, but I haven't seen it here: BTW, the part of the interview bamafan posted, with Adam talking about his music teacher, is wonderful. I'm sure someone will bring it to her attention, and I can't imagine how she must feel, realizing she has been such an important part of his musical education, and how much he appreciates it.

So you are chasing the original thigh, huh? I am probably going to regret this when I get to the end of the thread. LOL. Never regret a pun! Puns are ALWAYS a good idea! Yes, I'm chasing The Original Thigh! LOL. His jeans from 2012...I have an identical pair and he and I have discussed them... have lots of thigh rips and no lower leg rips. I need a clear pic of his thighs to see if these are indeed The Original Thigh ripped pants. LOL

adamlambert.se/adam-lambert-interview-in-di-weekend/Did you take vocal lessons? “Yes, I started doing that when I was about 13 years old.” In what way? Singing scales? “Yes, all of that. But I had a fantastic vocal coach who taught me not only techniques but singing overall. She became like a mentor to me, and introduced me to all the classics: movies, musicals, recordings. She taught me about the great singers, the great composers. In a way, it is like I got my education from a previous generation.” Even without knowing that, that shows in your artistry. “That is probably true. I carry things with me from the old golden era of entertainment that she taught me.” So you sat and watched videos during your vocal lessons? “Yes. She also taught me about gay history, all the iconic stuff.” You mean like Judy Garland? “Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, Barbra Streisand. I got that entire education from her. I hadn’t even come out of the closet at that time. I told my parents first when I was 18. But my vocal teacher knew without even asking. She knew.” “I have also continued sharing the knowledge she gave me. I have gay friends who think everything began with Beyoncé. I mean, hello. So I teach them, ‘this is Bob Fosse, this you have to know’.” Great read, well worth the time to go over and read all of it. ITA Excellent.

He and Lynne Broyles, his music teacher, appear to have been really close. I remember seeing her interviewed in the documentary from GNT and you could tell how close they were when she teared up talking about him. He mentioned her again in an interview from yesterday or the day before...something about it being her birthday and her influence on him. There's been so many interviews...I can't remember which one it was.

I have wondered why Adam's maagement is not being booking him into more of the festival type events. That seems like a much more effective way to grow his fan base than just touring radio stations, answering the same mindless questions over and over. Having a captive audience of the desired demographics hear him sing and see him perform, imo would go a long way to help him to build new fans. And quite frankly after this Trevor project event is done, I hope I never see him booked into another casino venue unless it is something huge in Vegas. That is the epitome of gray hair world, of which I am one. Here darlin'...for you..
