Thanks for this, jamie! Love me some George Michael! So, do you know what " Montsters Of Rock 91 style" means? Me too. I remember thinking he was so cheesy, then around the early 90's a musician boyfriend who I never would have guessed was a fan had me listen to Listen Without Prejudice and it was beautiful. Aptly titled. Thanks geezluoise for that info. Some of the videos of that concert are insane, would have loved to have been there, provided I had had enough drinks in me to deal with it all. What does this mean, anyhow??   Yeah what does this mean? And why did he have to point out they had each others phone numbers, is that important? The phone number reference goes back quite a ways to another time when fans were making assumptions about shit and I think maybe assuming that because things weren't being discussed on twitter that Monte and Adam weren't talking. Back then Monte snarked about having Adam's phone number. In other words he is quite capable of picking up the phone and talking to Adam and he doesn't need the fans assistance in communicating. I think everyone is forgetting that Monte did not start this shit, Lisa did and she even said that what she was upset about was not upsetting Monte. Yes she did something stupid and yes she involved the fans. But now the fans need to but out and let Monte, Lisa and Adam settle this which it seems Monte and Adam at least have. Monte is using the same snarky dry humor that he has all along and poking the trolls who are tweeting him ridiculous shit or giving him advice on how to "handle" his wife. He responded normally to a couple of sane tweeter's. Monte has to clean up the shit his wife started but in my opinion he doesn't have to let fans but in to his personal relationship with his wife. He has clarified that he and Adam are fine and he is still with the band and that is really all he owes the fans. That being said I think Lisa is the one who owes the fans an apology but I doubt we will get it. She reminds me of the chicks I couldn't stand in HS or even college who were always fucking up their guys friendships. Monte seems like a really nice guy and I can't even count the number of times in my life I've met really nice stand up guys who seemed to be married to the worst beyotches. I can't figure out what she expects from Adam because her tweets leading up to the tour and during at least the beginning seemed as if she resented that Monte was touring with Adam. Seems to me she has issues with her husband's career choices and she's blaming everyone but him. By the same token, however, the fans really need to but out now. The things we need to know have been clarified and the rest is none of our business. I am not going to tar Monte with the same brush and I perfectly understand that he's got keep the peace at home. He is perfectly within his rights to smack down the crazies, and the nosy nellies. He is simply drawing the line for the fans and maybe he's not as good at it as Adam is but he certainly has a right. After all we don't have to follow Monte if we aren't his fans as well. The Monsters of Rock 91 was a reference to video's he tweeted the other day from The Monsters of Rock festival in 91 that was held at Toshino Airfield which is the venue for the Russian show. |

Thanks Rihannsu! Guess I've been a bad stan - didn't know about the phone number thing with Monte - and I admit I don't follow him or keep up with the band members unless it directly relates to Adam. Thanks for clearing up the Monsters of Rock thing too - even after catching up on the entire thread tonight, I didn't get it  . I do remember a couple years ago when the whole 'Take One' debacle was going down, I kept checking Monte's twitter over and over (when he was on tour with Madonna) hoping he would address that crap - he never did that I recall (remember being so mad at the time and it seems so silly now). Then I sort of lost interest in him along the way - it's hard enough keeping up with Adam! |

Wooooooooooo! Just read that whole thread expecting some news! And the news was the same as last night -- Lisa P. is cray, Adam is fine, and we do not know what got Lisa so nuts.

I love this post. You put things in a realistic and very thoughtful way. I agree with everything you say. I just want to add that I think L MAY be upset not for the tour, but for the upcoming album, if Adam didnt want to use any songs that Monte wrote. All about the $$$. This remains to be seen IMO. |
