This conversation regarding TOH (carried on from yesterday) is quite interesting. It seems to be the only song on the album that people feel strongly about..one way or the other. I have to join several U.K. / Europeans and also of course "some" US members when I say I am not a lover of TOH. I was hoping by today I could tell you exactly why..but I can't, sorry. It does nothing for me. My favourite by a long stretch is THE LIGHT. I could just play that over and over. I also like Lucy. and Shame is brilliant. I like TOH enough but my favourite is The Light as well! Lucy is great and Shame is my jam, I love IT! Looks like we have the same taste.  |

This is to me a good example of how a song I might not be wow over is VERY WOW outside of our little domain. I've really enjoyed people talking about their favorite songs and why they might like a certain song. We had a nice chat last night into today. The second single is hopefully a ways off, and we might be surprised by which song/s are chosen for singles. Sometimes the 'fan' ear is not radio's. Rumors has been a hard one for me and I've seen tons of mentions outside of the fandom like Rand Duren who absolutely love it. Out dar in the industry. He's editor of the Dallas Morning News. From another perspective. So my favorite songs...the one that reach me..may not be the choices for radio and that's OK. I'm not all attached to which singles are chosen as TOH is a strong album. I do respect Mzsue's point about disregarding any song for single potential. There are those monster hits she spoke of that were power ballads. Heck, Adele is known for them. Like Adam said, there is no science to this business. It's as fickle as the winds. I figure any song is game on this album. When it's time, we'll know. Personally, I try to stay away from next single talk but that's me. I sure have enjoyed reading what everyone here is liking on TOH, tho.  ETA: LOL..I did mention ALN as a potential radio single yesterday, so oopsie..let me say I TRY not go to there.  |

It's been quite some time since the previous TV appearance.. Can't wait to see Adam perform on tv again! And can't wait to see Ian McKellen (hopefully) dancing to GT again  Anyway, do we know how well the viewership of The Late Late Show is? |

Have followed discussions the last couple of days about favorites on TOH. Like many of you, depending on the day, time, mood, location it could be anyone of the tracks. After more listens than I want to admit to, the songs I am less likely to pay attention to when playing are: Underground, Things I Didn’t Say, and Rumors. I always find myself head bobbing, dancing in my seat, or tapping a foot when TOH, ALN, The Light, and Shame play. TISI, EITN, GT, Lucy, and These Boys are the second grouping of favorites and like them a lot. After Hours and Heavy Fire are OK. There really are no songs I “skip” on the album.
