Loving the numbers this morning! I just did the math on the songs dropping above GT and I think I see 5-6 songs that could be gone by 8/6! Holy moley, Batman!! Oh, 181 stations are spinning now!

I am flipping out over the AI as well. So exciting.
Therefore treat what I say next as "inquiring minds want to know" versus angst. I am so loving the numbers thread. Paid zero attention to it in the past but then again, it wasn't the happiest thread during Trespassing era and I hopped on to this forum after FYE era was well underway.
So here are my questions. Thanks for bringing in the number of stations spinning. That was great to know. I also understand that early spinners may be reducing spins and I see that happening but clearly there is major momentum in spin increases and "it's a beautiful thing". I don't know how to weigh that against Jason's song. Jason's AI is higher and that song is in a sense just getting started. It has larger move numbers. I am feeling more and more comfortable that GT is outpacing SS song. AI is higher, spins higher and seems like it will stay ahead.
As I look at the songs above, seems like there might not be a pick up this week as 5sos will clearly pass unless GT can overcome Flo Rida (what a trip that would be for GT, out of the sheer strength of its metrics passes something that earlier passed it. I don't think that has happened yet). Or, if the Snake loses enough spins in these next couple of days which doesn't look likely.
Then August 2nd - I think is dancing cats, flying bats etc. Assuming GT continues posting these kinds of numbers, and has its double spin on SNOL and no one else passes but 5sos, we can see some upward momentum - Jason's Want to Want Me goes away and Snake drops below. This I think is a clear a given. Then comes the fact that Sia has started to drop and Pitbull is losing spins as well. That's pretty exciting and probably not seeable until maybe the week after. Andy Grammar goes recurrent on the 16th and it is already down to 9 so that seems pretty reliable. In fact, it will most likely get passed by Bieber by the weekend. Same for Wiz and Major Lazer trading places. In 3 or so weeks the two stalwarts of the top - Wiz and Walk the Moon could well drop out of the top 10 into recurrent land. Even Hey Mama is dropping a bit.
There seems to be a pretty clear path to top 20 if all goes well and other pop song does not explode on the chart. There is also perhaps the security blanket that as GT climbs and spins it could pass other songs. Why the hell not? Maybe Silento and Flo.

You are spot on with my thoughts, theosgma! I redid my math for the songs above GT and I now see 7 songs that will be gone or below GT by 8/2!!! I asked my "secret" numbers friend about this & she agrees! Most likely at least #20 for the 8/2 update! First, Derulo is not on this week's Top 40, so there is that! Plus he is not streaking up the chart, yet! 5SOS will pass but doesn't matter. These are the songs i think will be gone or below the magical #10 to go recurrent, or below GT by the 2nd. I am putting a lot of faith into GT's rising numbers too! Derulo (WTWM goes recurrent 8/2), DJ Snake, Sia (nose diving!), Wiz (starting a nose dive), Walk the Moon, Pitbull. I really, really think GT will pass Flo-rida! I do! ^^^ Those put the number at 7!! My 8th is the potential for the Guetta/Minaj collab to drop also. If not by the 2nd, it will by the 9th go below 10 & then go recurent. The next 2 weeks will be HELLA EXCITING!!!!!!!!!! ** There is a new Cumulus spinner every day too!
