Thanks Q3 for your answer. I'm just going to assume that everything is going to be okay. I've been off watching Lambertlust full show. Really changes the perspective seeing the whole show even though we don't get the closeups, I actually could understand Wicked Game a lot better. The guitar player, Brad, is listed on his web site as a backup singer. From their instagrams and web sites, I see these guys all know each other. The keys player, Peter, has a fun sense of humor. He even has an instagram of his cat playing the keys. I love the drummer. What a character! His comment after Jimmy Fallon about Adam...This guy can sing. Peter said he was already booking for July...probably his own gig but I can dream he meant with Adam. I think they'll bond pretty well with Adam if they do tour together and they're all very professional so we would get some quality music. Franki13 - Would you be able to post the links to the guys who played for Adam at Morongo? I would really like to learn more about them. Haven't yet watched a 'replay' of the show. Being there, being SO transported, I need to set some time aside to just reabsorb. Others have commented on all aspects of the show - including me - but, I want to say, again, these few things - OOL just gobsmacked everyone and was a STUNNING beginning; the lit-up shirt fit in perfectly and brought the performance to another level; I had never paid attention to 'Wicked Games' before - even tho I'd heard it many times in the past - but now I have it memorized!; with every performance (and I bet there will be more!) of TISI, the 'credibility' of it one day being a single increases; I think Adam loves singing TOH more than anything I've ever watched - his face is pure joy!; reggae IIHY sounded SUPER and had me rocking and still jumping; 'After Hours' is when I think I nearly fainted. Also, Adam has a way of making WWFM still touching and hopeful and fresh. His 'thankfulness' for this song showed as he sang it. We will need to 'come prepared' when there is a tour. I thought AFL was sexy before . . . this time around he's not just the Pied Piper leading us; he's found a way inside; into the inner workings; the spaces that were, before, truly secret. Let me tell you, there was no 'closet door' left unopened, or skeleton left unexposed in my mind, after Morongo. I can't wait for 'Heavy Fire', 'Lucy', Rumors . . . plan to have 'The Light' played at Burning Man's radio station . . . heck, I'll just recommend every song on TOH. Maybe I'll watch tonight. That rabbit hole is just too close! And I am prone to falling these days.

Oh my dear. And you chose the one song that is so poignant for me I *almost* cannot bear to listen to it. I'm not a person prone to exaggeration (well, yeh, that tsunami comment was a bit over the top), but Adam singing those words just crawls inside me and wraps around my heart, gets into my bloodstream and overwhelms my left brain.
Truly, it is so evocative to me that it brings me to tears. Almost hard for me to believe how penetrating and emotional it is for me.
And yet I love the song, you know that weird "it hurts so good" feeling? The magic of Mr. Lambert, damn his eyes! Thanks for sharing that, it was a very special night. I was up front the second night and had The Eye Contact. Just about knocked me off my feet. No exaggeration!

Cassie, I do think it will happen. I think there will be an amazing Broadway show in the future, a movie where he is singing and recordings of different kinds of music then pop. Hope he continues to take exquisite care of the instrument so when that time comes it is there in its full glory. Maybe he may find when he has the full pop success he wants, more of it is Chasing TOH. Then it may be off to other ways of using that magical voice. Thanks! You give me hope. This is my dream.

Adam's use of pre-recorded backing vocal tracks is not unique to the current TOH era. He used pre-recorded backing vocal tracks on the Glam Nation Tour. Cam did some back-up singing, but one voice wasn't enough to create the vocal harmonies that Adam apparently wanted. He didn't use backing vocal tracks for the Trespassing concerts when the back-up singers were performing with him (but they re-appeared when the back-up singers didn't perform). QAL didn't need backing tracks, of course, because all of the band members sang back-up. Personally I'm also not a fan of the use of pre-recorded vocal tracks, which is why I think Adam should hire some first-rate back-up singers for his live concerts, or hire band members who can sing (like Queen did). But I understand that costs extra $$$$ which he may not want to invest at this time. Hopefully the pre-recorded vocal tracks will go away when he goes on tour. I am aware that Adam has used backing vocal tracks during previous eras. He needed them to recreate the sound of the recorded songs, because there were backing vocal harmonies on them. He didn't use the prerecorded vocal tracks when he had live singers. Since those girls sounded at times kind of dodgy, I think I almost liked the recorded singing (which was Adam's) better. This era (and when he performed Trespassing without his backing group) Adam is using recorded tracks that include him singing the main melody line as well as the various harmonies. I don't understand why he is doing that, and don't care for it. Just my opinion. YMMV.

pattihum, I wish you could have been at that Costa Mesa show. I know I go on and on about it, but that voice? Filled the outdoor ampitheatre and overflowed like a tsunami to the people on the grass, and probably all the way to Hawaii, as far as I know (exaggeration for effect). No QAL that time, just that one in a billion voice. Honestly, it was one of the first things that struck me about his voice live, how it filled the space. Adam? I was at all the Costa Mesa shows!

I've been streaming Rdio for a while now, but since yesterday it started skipping parts, as if we're back in the gramophone days. Sometimes it just plays the first notes of the song, and then skips all of it. Does it happen to anyone here? Sorry to bring it here, I couldn't find anywhere in Rdio's site to ask, and since it's Adam that I stream, you could call it related...
