So, are we to infer that part of "the deal" for the Adam appearance at Apple was for them to list it on Hot Tracks? If so, good work.
I know it's none of my business and all I need or am supposed to know is the final result or public presentation.....but I'd love to know what all goes on behind the scenes. What part does Warner play and what part DMG and do they work together for the common good. For example, would DMG have booked the Apple thing or WarnerBros and how about The Voice in Australia. Since it's promo for GT and the album it all get's muddled in my brain. Regardless, I'm so thrilled at all the fantastic promo!

No I cannot explain it -- just observing that it started to make the move in the run-up to the Apple event. GT is now at #47 on iTunes -- and sales are still increasing. We will see what happens as the day goes on. GT was hanging in the high 80's and 90's mostly from the radio airplay. And the cumulative airplay for a song will increase familiarity making a purchase more likely. So it was primed to move. The song appeals to people who would never consider buying an "Adam Lambert" song -- most people need to hear it or hear about it before they buy it. ETA: Moved up to #46 while I was writing this post! I think it's probably that it's being featured on the front page of the app under Hot Tracks (#7). I gather from twitter that it got there the morning of the Apple event and it hasn't moved out. From what I've been able to deduce, it's a curated list so human decision to put him on there. Front page equals sales. Yes, it was added to Hot Tracks on Friday morning. And yes, that is a curated list meaning the iTunes staff added it. I am sure it helped but that is not all that did it. GT has been on the radio for a while -- I think that the iTunes front page listing is activating the existing awareness for the song -- mostly from radio. But the pop bars are continuing to increase -- and that is unusual if it is based on the listing.

Apple Music also is a sponsor of the Beach Volleyball concert with is an iHeartMedia event. So everything is interconnected. ETA: This was probably all put together by Warner Promo. No one books Apple appearances, Apple Inc. picks who they want. Adam seems to be one of the "edgier" artists who have performed there. One Republic, Maroon 5, Darius Rucker, Phillip Phillips, Cake, The Fray, etc. have performed. ****** I wonder why GT is on the iTunes Hot Tracks main page but NOT on the Pop Hot Tracks?

Ghost Town had a great update on Top 40:
POP: lw 26 TW 25 ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town Spins TW 3080 lw 2650 +430 AI 12.996
+106 Spins +103 Bullet +0.478 Audience
HAC: lw 18 TW 18 ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town Spins TW 1882 lw 1804 +78 AI 9.121

lw = last week TW = this week AI = Audience Impressions in millions, total estimated audience size for the song in the past 7 days.
Last night GT picked up +1 spin on SNOL (2 total this week) plus got 2 spins on Open House Party (same as last week).

There is something so primevally sensual about this picture for me. Something about the eyes and the 'tude. One of my favorites of the oldies. And to think that was lurking inside of this all American boy I see so many glamberts liking this pic and it always surprises me as it is one the very, very few that I really don't like...and of those, this is the worst. So you see...we all have differing tastes...this looks so 'un-classy' to me...almost 'pimpy'... [been afraid to say that for years ]

[been afraid to say that for years ] I have mixed feelings about the photo on the left -- the eyes slay me, the hair and rest of the look seem kind of sleezy. Maybe that conflict is why it seems so sexy. I confuses me but I like it.

So true! ...my fav in terms of "sexy"? thinking.... I don't think I have a "favorite" per se but I found virtually every picture of him with Brad to be charged with sexual tension and/or unabashed happiness...like these:
