I'd love GT to hit top 20 but even if it's peak is 25 I still consider that a success. It is not a flash in the pan song that quickly rises to the top and disappears. It is hanging in there in the top 30 being heard by more people. Even if it doesn't rise a lot more I don't see it disappearing quickly.

as much as I am dying for Adam to be on top, I also realize that in the world where 1D and alike are the king there is no place for excellence and depth... and I am not being passive aggressive here, I truly believe it now that I pay attention to the pop world...

IMO that's not enough: GT need to have 3 digit daily spin increases to stay ahead of the pressure from below. Otherwise mid 20s is all we are going to get out of this song.

Just when RRLY struggled to increase spin, it suddenly had huge spin increase on one particular week propelled it from 30s to leap to 27 or 28, and it got the cumulus block of adds the same week and then exactly 1 week after, it went down hill. Arghhhh..the old stations that spin GT must have gone quiet now. I hope that's not the case !
I wish this could hold until the Volleyball event ! 3 weeks to go

“Ghost Town” is still gaining spins (good!) but will lose ground on the Pop and Hot AC radio charts for the week because more songs are passing it than the number of songs it is passing. It’s the nature of the charts unless you are a radio favorite.

What about all the pop radio adds this past week? Yes, GT had 18 pop stations officially add it to their playlists, but 17 were from the Cumulus block and most were already playing the song at a pretty good rate (as of last week). What GT really needs is for the other stations that have added the song – particularly the iHeart stations – to play it more.

As for the updates this week, it appears that “Ghost Town” and many other songs have lost a couple syndicated overnight spins on the iHeart Premium Choice programming that is played on some iHeart stations nationwide. It hurt GT more because it was getting a higher number of these spins in relation to its radio chart placement, so losing those spins affected it more.

But again the good news is that “Ghost Town” is still gaining spins overall at both Pop and Hot AC radio, being added by more radio stations each week AND selling pretty well on U.S. iTunes. Not to mention, the song is doing great in so many other parts of the world, including Australia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, South Africa and The Netherlands.insert quote here
