Not an expert but don't give up. Do both. We should see some serious spins with the new adds and GT has really climbed relative to where it was on iTunes and better yet, has held its position showing steady buying. Not the time to give up. I think this is the push for the next few weeks to see how high it will go and time the next single if appropriate.

Thanks for replying, Sweetie! I just can't figure out how sirius determines who makes the countdown 'cause it sure ain't based on votes. :( I know we MUST have enough weekly votes in. Another smaller frustration is WHY more peeps don't vote on tinyurl.com/pkwode since Z100 is the #1 pop station in the U.S. Sorry to bring my sour mood here...

I have spent an inordinate amount of time over the past 5 weeks voting incognito on www.siriusxm.com/topsongs to no avail. I sometimes read the countdown blog to see if I can glean any helpful info. It was disconcerting to read " Adam Lambert – Ghost Town has spent a really long time on Hit-Bound and has shown no signs of debuting in the near future. It may not make it to the countdown unfortunately." siriusxmhits1weekendcountdown.blogspot.com/This guy has nothing to do with Sirius, he's just a listener and as far as I can tell has zilch inside scoop so his "may not make the countdown" is all opinion and conjecture. Now I have no idea either as they are playing a lot of songs that have long dropped off the radio charts. The thing to remember is that GT has a very low burnout rating and a very high net favorability rating on the listener call out poll we got wind of last week or the week before. To the radio stations this means that it can sit there in the pocket just on cruise control and jammin along in the cool zone like it was it's own After Hours. There is absolutely no rush on this song. Listeners aren't getting tired of it (burn out), they think it's a good song (favorability), it has a hook that is becoming a teen calling card "My Heart is a Ghost Town" just like "Whatya Want From Me". So it's not competing with songs that are "I've got to hear that new one" which go almost immediately to "heard that already". They are rocket rides. We're on a cruise ship and we've got to see the world one port at a time. I think TPTB are thrilled to death that it's on this trajectory and they aren't having to scramble to put out another single. GT looks to me like it might not peak until in September.

From the daily thread: Apparently 26 songs in top 40 got negative bullets yesterday. Donna @ala4afam OIC Every single song (but 2) on the chart lost PC spins (overnight programmed spins). Not just GT (which wasn't hit as bad as others). OK. What is this about? Where is she looking? On today's chart I see large increases from "below" by Derullo, Pluth and RCity - all will pass GT very soon. I see no "new" losing songs except for GT. kworb.net/radio/

nica575, on kworb's site, sort by the bullet+ column and you can count 26 negatives.
Not really a big deal as there were 25 negatives yesterday and 27 negs the day before.
