JSYK, The page that was deleted had nothing to do with comments from outsiders. I'm way back here, but as I've been looking for an excuse to post this, I'll offer Unca Dave's comment/reply to Neil. I saved this one with some garish embellishment so I could find it easily. img199.imageshack.us/img199/9287/20090109001dnegativenei.jpg And yet again I must note how much I love every damn member of this family. I want to be related to Unca Dave.

A recent comment from Angelina on her blog:
It’s interesting that opera professionals take what Adam does with his voice seriously, but they’re not the only ones – around me, many of my colleagues are enamoured with Adam’s voice – and, I might add, not a little jealous! Only kidding, but he really does understand and know his voice in a way that is uncommon to most singers, and that is partly what voice professionals find so intriguing – especially because his voice is hard to classify, although, if I had to be pressed into making a classification, I’d say he is a kind of Leggiero tenor. But I agree that there are darker baritone-type qualities in his voice and that is likely one of the reasons for the many harmonics in his voice – he seems to be able to pull the higher harmonics down whilst simultaneously pulling the lower ones up – astonishing! Can’t wait for his voice to mature! Although completely LOVE how it sounds now!

oooh, cassie, while you're right here:
what does that mean, waiting "for his voice to mature?" At what point is a man's voice mature? and how might Adam's change/improve (!!!)?
ETA: also, what does leggiero tenor mean? Is that something you could explain to a musical dolt like me? (Sorry, you're getting bombarded today, and it isn't even the masterclass thread!)

I vaguely recall an age being given somewhere for a male voice to mature. I didn't phrase that very well. Do you know what I'm talking about and is there a general sort of answer?

From what I understand with a cousin who is a professional baritone, techncically your voice does not mature until your early 40's. The tone of the voice supposedly develops even more richness as you age. If you note most tenors are singing well into their 70's and have more power and resonance and have such a deep richness to their voices
