AWWW MANNNNNNNN >:( So UNFAIR! Animated is showing off her awesomeness. How are we mere mortals supposed to compete with that??!
Seriously love your cover and title, Animated. "The Permanence of Change" is great when it comes to Adam, because it suggests how all these variations and playing around with his appearance and clothes and hair are really just a genuine part of him, rather than some sort of disguise or cover up. I love it. It inspired my new "serious" album title idea in a way, which is:
1) SECOND SKIN
(to over-explain: nod to the second-ness of the album, and a gesture of respect to how well all of Adam's myriad "clothes" fit him, like a second skin, like a natural expression of who he is and a real part of him; plus the leather thing, and the skin-tight pants thing, lol. Also, I feel like it seems on this album Adam may "show some skin," emotionally speaking--a variation on all the "NAKED" and "UNCOVERED" type title suggestions. Also, some sort of metaphorical suggestion that Adam's music is his "second skin.")
And for a comic title:
2) Daddy Long Legs
(this not very funny suggestion is made in honor of the indisputably awesome Animated, whose love for those long long legs I enthusiastically share! )
ETA: Forgot to add: Miachichu and Cassie, I loved your posts, but AMW and Mys*&@^#r, really loved yours too and I totally agree with you. I think Adam's doing fine. His life has some real costs, but it has a heck of a lot of perks, too, and all in all he gives the impression of being a very happy, lucky, and grateful dude right now. Which makes me grin all over. And as much as this kind of invasion of privacy crap sucks, Adam also realizes that publicity is very much his friend. He isn't someone who wanted to be a reclusive singer-songwriter somewhere, or wanted to write esoteric music for a select few. He wanted, expressly, to be a pop star, a grand-scale entertainer, a mainstream artist (who nevertheless wows with his out of the box style) who is seen by many many people. Remember his eyebrow-quirk to Slezak? "Shy? Me?" (Where's that gif? Gelly? you know the one I'm talking about? He's in that white jacket?)
That's our Adam, so he's way tough enough to handle this kind of stuff, and much of it, like it or not, is ultimately in his own professional interest. He's a pro (I feel like a broken record saying that, lol) and that's why he can be genuinely annoyed by the paps presence in that garage but still come off as happy and charming in the photos. He knows the game, and is good at it. Now, about the girl throwing the facebook photos around, I agree with mys*&@^#r, that crosses an entirely different sort of line, that's not a professional question at all, and I'm sure Adam will deal with it if he feels he needs to.
