Soooo excited. about 7 hours ago via web milestougeaux @negativeneil Be sure to remember how to not to destroy your ears going down and your lungs coming up, Mr Uncertified Guy 10 minutes ago via web in reply to negativeneil I love all the Lamberts I would love to know how Neil can afford not to work for so long and travel like this. The economy is still not great and he had such a hard time getting a job in NY. Sounds like he is having a blast maybe Adam has a job for him if he every comes home. Either that or this girlfriend is rich and supporting him. Jealous wish I had no responsibilities and was in my 20's.

Sorry, I can't wait around forever.
Scuba used to be my passion. I have over 500 dives and have been many places around the world. I had started to take cave diving lessons and had shark diving in a cage in Australia on my bucket list. I did, however, dive with the sharks in Galapagos. My scuba gear doesn't fit anymore and my underwater camera gear which costs thousands of dollars is outdated. Now everything is digital. It bothers me that I was able to manage a manual camera with a strobe and all the adjustments underwater but can't manage a stupid $300 digital camera. PastaBaby, hubby is an avid diver. He still uses his Nikonos V with the strobe, etc. He sends it to a Nikonos place once a year and they do a service on it, change the O-rings, etc. If you want to get your manual camera in shape, I'll give you the name and address of the place. It still takes great pictures above and below the ocean. i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/littledeb10/23_15.jpgi463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/littledeb10/3-3a-3.jpg

1) SECOND SKIN (to over-explain: nod to the second-ness of the album, and a gesture of respect to how well all of Adam's myriad "clothes" fit him, like a second skin, like a natural expression of who he is and a real part of him; plus the leather thing, and the skin-tight pants thing, lol. Also, I feel like it seems on this album Adam may "show some skin," emotionally speaking--a variation on all the "NAKED" and "UNCOVERED" type title suggestions. Also, some sort of metaphorical suggestion that Adam's music is his "second skin.") And for a comic title: 2) Daddy Long Legs(this not very funny suggestion is made in honor of the indisputably awesome Animated, whose love for those long long legs I enthusiastically share! ) I really like "Second Skin" for the next album name. Can we combine your two ideas. Call it "Second Skin" the have Adam on the cover in skin tight leather? Maybe something like this picture? (but with a shorter shirt to show the rear better!) flic.kr/p/9fEHUu

The cd case made of actual, soft, pettable leather. mmmmm. *licks cd case* (whatchoo lookin' at?) ETA: Convo's moved on, so I'll add this here. idea for "second skin" cover: shirtless Adam covered completely in tattoos. *grins wickedly* #itwouldbebeautiful

Cassie this question is for you. I too get bummed at the JD comparisons and ther is a post on the AI official forum called "James does not have a pitch problem" by some voice expert and I was wondering what you thought. myidol.americanidol.com/go/thread/view/86789/27579881/James_Does_Not_Have__Pitch_ProblemIf you have time to explain in the Masterclass thread if that is more appropriate, just curious because what I hear just doesn't sound good but you are so good at explaining this stuff. Thanks! Since it is a slow day here, I think it would be okay to answer this here instead of the masterclass thread? The woman has impressive credentials -- much more impressive than mine. But, I have to disagree with her, in a way. Well, in many ways, but for now, just about pitch. IMO, James does not have a pitch problem but a control problem. Meaning, I don't think it is a matter of him not hearing a bad pitch. If that were the case, he would be consistently off, and he would not correct himself quickly. No, he doesn't have exact control of his voice and his breath support. So, he doesn't always hit the pitch square on. Think of shooting a gun at a target. Shooting a gun is incredibly easy. Just hold it up, pull the trigger, and blam. But, hitting the bulls eye of a distant target, and even better, hitting the MIDDLE of that bulls eye takes hours, years of practice. Total familiarity with the gun, and the impact of various environmental conditions. Perfect eye/hand coordination. And the proper breathing so as not to cause the slightest movement of the gun in your hand. (At least I think that's true. I am not into target shooting, or shooting at all.) Singing is easy. Just open your mouth, activate your vocal cords and your breath, and blam. But singing consistently on pitch, squarely on pitch, up and down your range, at different loudness levels, at different speeds..... that takes drill and practice for years. Not just singing songs for fun, but doing vocal exercises, singing scales, singing intervals (jumping from one note to another). Just as you practice hitting the center of the target when you shoot, you have to practice hitting the center of each note as you sing. Then, you also have to practice your breathing. Breathe a little too hard when you are shooting for a note, and it will go sharp. Don't have enough breath, and you will go flat. Don't have good muscle control and your pitch will vary as you hold a note for a long time. What I hear when James sings is an inconsistency in the pitch. Usually slight, but still unpleasant. Some notes right on, some notes a tad sharp or flat. It occurs more often when he is moving around.... a sure sign of lack of strong breath support. That's my opinion, and I am sticking to it!

I think the area of the world he's been in is dirt cheap and he had a well paying job last year and he saved most of his money, maybe?
