While you're voting on Billboard, try to click on this a few times. It really works and if WWFM is high enough, Q102 will play it at the 8 o'clock and 9 o'clock hour tonight. Just click on the green arrow and WWFM will keep moving up the playlist. www.q102.com/pages/takeover.html

Just thought I would mention that today, May 17, is Anti Homophobia Day. Saw a poster at my local library the other day and I took note of what businesses were brave enough to sponsor it.

Just thought I would mention that today, May 17, is Anti Homophobia Day. Saw a poster at my local library the other day and I took note of what businesses were brave enough to sponsor it. International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia Press Statement Hillary Rodham Clinton Secretary of State Washington, DC May 17, 2011 In every part of the world, men and women are persecuted and attacked because of who they are or whom they love. Homophobia, transphobia and the brutal hostility associated with them are often rooted in a lack of understanding of what it actually means to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT). So to combat this terrible scourge and break the cycle of fear and violence, we must work together to improve education and support those who stand up against laws that criminalize love and promote hate. As we mark the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia this May 17, let us resolve to redouble our efforts. On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I am proud to reaffirm our support for LGBT communities at home and abroad, and to call for an end to discrimination and mistreatment of LGBT persons wherever it occurs. Whether by supporting LGBT advocates marching in Belgrade, leading the effort at the United Nations to affirm the human rights of LGBT persons, or condemning a vile law under consideration in Uganda, we are committed to our friends and allies in every region of the world who are fighting for equality and justice. These are not Western concepts; these are universal human rights. Despite these gains and hard work, there is more to do to turn the tide of inequality and discrimination against the LGBT community. If you are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, know that the United States stands with you and we are unwavering in our commitment to ending this cycle of hate.

It's beautiful to see our government take a stand against homophobia. Now we just need the laws to catch up to the rhetoric. Still waiting for the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell to take effect, and we also need to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act.

Well, we have come a long way in my lifetime and I know that in my community there is so much more acceptance among young people. The ones I know are totally cool with it. So there is hope. I so admire Adam for his forthrightness and fortitude. .

In looking at the Dan Savage site AV club, I noticed a news-wire story about a new reality show that will air on CW called H8R where celebrities confront their “biggest haters and try to convince them that their animosity is misdirected.” It says the network is obviously hoping that the show will foster a more positive attitude toward celebrity, and combat society’s relentless drive to tear others down for no discernible reasons besides jealousy and unsubstantiated anger.
I hope people managing Adam wouldn't try to book him on a show of this nature. Seems the network is sinking to a new low.

Anyone notice that there is not one AI artist on the Billboard list? Guess they know that AI artists fans are passionate about their "idol" and will click on the site and vote "other" obsessively for their chosen one. It's all about the clicks, isn't it. Just like the last poll that went on seemingly forever. I guess I am getting voting fatigue and I am wondering if the votes even matter, or if the winners are already chosen and this is just an exercise in futility. Sorry I am so negative today. My name should be Neil. :-/
