Anyone notice that there is not one AI artist on the Billboard list? Guess they know that AI artists fans are passionate about their "idol" and will click on the site and vote "other" obsessively for their chosen one. It's all about the clicks, isn't it. Just like the last poll that went on seemingly forever. I guess I am getting voting fatigue and I am wondering if the votes even matter, or if the winners are already chosen and this is just an exercise in futility. Sorry I am so negative today. My name should be Neil. :-/ Pretty sure the Billboard Award is an actual award. "Fan Favorite" |

My name should be Neil. :-/ Well, those stars listed by BB are double/triple platinum stars and frankly right now there are no pop/rock AI stars that fit in that group (not even Adam). So not too surprising.  |

As I was reading the articles today re: James & Adam, I thought of readon’s post last night and that brought to mind keyboard’s post a few weeks ago. Both meant a lot to me so thought I would share them with you. Adam is working 6-8 hours in the studio on Adam #2. I hope he is having fun and creating great music. I hope when he takes a break and decides to read his twitter feed that he sees support and encouragement, and humour. I don't want him to read his twitter feed and see conflict, and fan wars, negativity. American Idol is part of Adam's past, a good part, but has nothing to do with "what comes next."
Nothing anyone does on there, including win the title, has anything to do with who Adam is at this moment or what he will do in the future. It is nice when he goes back to perform, but it's nice when he performs on Ellen or Leno, too.
I don't understand why people search out trouble or slights. There is so much positive to celebrate that everything else should be left to the non-believers and the naysayers. Heap the enthusiasm on him, keep him in a cocoon of encouragement and love so when he decides to lurk somewhere, he leaves with a smile and a feeling of invincibility.
Life's tough enough sometimes, even for a superstar, so give him a haven.Back to LA tomorrow, hope it is sunny and warm for the weekend. Viper Room |

I don't understand getting wrapped up in the fan wars, the Adam/James comparisons, the sniping at Adam to get hits on media web sites, or the Idol angst related to Adam. It is what it is, and we have no control over what the media puts out..... with the exception of clicking on it, posting it and tweeting it, or ignoring it. Every time I read something else about James vs. Adam, or Cook vs. Adam or XYZ vs Adam I get frustrated and my blood pressure goes up. I have finally reached maximum overload and realized I was doing destructive things to myself by polluting my mind with this stuff. I refuse to engage in that any longer. The only one hurt is me. And, maybe Adam. I doubt that he lurks on fan boards. His life is much too busy and rich to make the time or have the interest. But, knowing his fans, I am sure he gets multiple tweets about every gate, every slight, every insult. As do his friends and family, being asked to pass it along to him. That stuff is toxic. I confess that I am as BSC as most other Adam fans --- more so than some, because I am entranced by the world's best voice. So, I am making my commitment to keep my forcefields up and my focus on the positive, the uplifting, the goal of more great music and performances. That is the energy I hope fans will put out the universe, and to Adam. |

Adding my 2 cents to the "suggested fan behavior" comments. I think Durbin is getting way too much mileage out of all this. I get the creepy feeling that a lot of his so-called fans are some of the original Adam haters and it's more about "beating" Adam again than about JD being all that ('cause try as I can, I sure don't see it) I know the interviewers are trying to stir up controversy or hits or something, but I would like to see GNAFL fans ignore them. Take the "go away kid, you bother me" attitude. Or simply post gifs like this  Nuf said! |
