AUSPOPCHART WATCH ARIAwww.auspop.com.au/2015/08/chart-watch-328/?utm_sourceAdam bits.. Will the power of four (One Direction) beat out the power of one (Adam Lambert) in the race for the No.1 spot on this week’s ARIA singles chart? SinglesBig props have to go to Adam Lambert, however. His performances of ‘Ghost Town’ on Aussie TV during his visit were phenomenal and have helped propel the single all the way to the No.2 position on this week’s ARIA chart (up from No.16). The track now becomes Adam’s highest ever charting single in Australia, bettering the efforts of ‘Whataya Want From Me’ and ‘If I Had You’, both of which peaked at No.4. Albums Adam Lambert’s promotional visit did more than just improve the chart fortunes of his smash hit ‘Ghost Town’. It also sent sales of his album ‘The Original High’ through the roof; the album languishing at No.72 on last week’s top 100, but bulleting 66 places this week to No.6.
