Whew! The promo in Australia and New Zealand was just phenomenal. Adam was a marvel, handling it all so wonderfully. I had a hard time keeping up with all the media. Work definitely suffered, and I haven't even seen a bit of the concert videos yet. Such a positive reaction and reception by the people there, and reflected in results on the charts. Would love it if things could go so well everywhere.
I'm glad Adam saw and responded to the tweet from Gloria Gaynor. And it gave him a chance to post to everyone about his great position on the sales chart in Australia.
It'd be nice if Adam could do more high-profile promo in the States before he leaves again, to get a fraction of the effect he experienced Down Under. Seems like it would be his last opportunity for GT promo here before the new single.
I'm sure more things that have been planned between now and then will continue to pop up and reveal themselves, like the additional Queen dates. I hope Adam has sufficient time to rehearse before he gets back on stage with them. In one of the recent interviews he mentioned that he didn't feel he was prepared enough for the show in the Ukraine, because of time constraints and the fact that his mind had been consumed with his own album promo leading up to the concert (which was a worry looking at the situation from the outside way back then). He pulled it off brilliantly, even if the nerves showed a little at the start.
It'll be a similar case for the upcoming shows with regard to album promo and the quick transition. It sounds like there will be more TOH promo after the awards show performance in Poland. I hope he has time to fully immerse himself in their music and to get his head back in the Queen game, and won't try to work his way back into it during live shows. So many new eyes from all around will be on him after all the recent solo promo. And he has a new region to impress and entertain. Plus, who knows when he and Queen will all get back together again, so I hope they go out with a bang and end on a high note. (And please play "Lucy"!)
