This round of interviews has been, as usual, interesting. By now, we fans know the answers to just about every possible question, but I have to keep in mind, that for most of the listeners, this is their first exposure to AFL. What fascinates me this time around is how Adam handles himself and the interview. He's always been a good subject of the interview, but now he is a master. Particularly telling was his answer about charm being important. From all accounts, Adam is naturally charming, down-to-earth, and a nice guy. This answer tells me that, while it is natural, it is also carefully cultivated; he knows it is as important an asset as his remarkable singing voice, perhaps more. Before people can hear him sing, they first have to know about him via publicity and media, and WANT to listen. By being consistently charming, approachable and nice, he insures the good will of the interviewers and the media people behind the scenes. Which leads to more interviews, more exposure, and positive comments. He charms not only the folks on set, but the people listening, who are more likely to click on a video of a performance, or even google him.
As much as I have thrilled to hear him mature as a vocalist over the last six years, I have also thoroughly enjoyed seeing him mature as a celebrity and a media personality. Yes, indeed. I think our Adam is quite shrewd..

We are so lucky to have videos of almost every Adam live performance in the past six years. I cherish them. I also sometimes cringe to see folks standing five feet from him and looking at their phone screen instead of at him, pouring his heart out to the audience. How can he interact with the audience if they don't even look at him? I am reminded of the time I went on a whale-watching boat excursion. We came across a mama humpback with her calf, and I was trying to capture the moment with my camera. Suddenly I stopped and thought, "How stupid. Here is this once in a lifetime event happening in the sea in front of me, and I am not experiencing it. I am trying to snap a frickin' picture! Watch the breathtaking scene and buy a bloody postcard when you get back to the gift shop!!!!" Not meant as a criticism. As I said to start with, I LOVE being able to see the performances on video! But, just a thought. Benjamin Cumberbatch, starring in a stage production of Hamlet, recently commented on the distraction of all the cameras filming while he was trying to do the soliloquy. Food for thought. www.buzzfeed.com/elliewoodward/benedict-cumberbatch-has-begged-fans-to-stop-filming-him-dur?utm_term=.jhzX7DYnn6#.rbe7jeDyJ7Living life through the lens of a camera... I sold much of my photography and was in a couple of galleries.. So when my DH and i traveled about it was always to get the right shot.We were in India and I stopped short and refused to take any more photos. I am experiecing nothing but through the lense of my camera ,why leave home if I'm not going to fully experience the tastes and sounds of other countries. since then i have never taken a camera with me.. To add though..with that in mind I am totally in debt to all who have video taped Adam' s performances for us.. To me that is the height of giving and self sacrifice. So thanks to all who have showered us with the gift of Adam. Please never leave your IPhones at home..I guess there is a time and place for everything..LOL

Unless WB Promo has some trick up their sleeves, I think "Ghost Town" is close to peak on the Pop radio chart. 26 24 ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town 3443 3247 196 13.216 -11 Spins -92 Bullet -0.023 AI It will take a couple more weeks to peak and then start to drop. So looks like late September-October for a follow-up single in the US. It will be #23 on Sunday & has the potential for a few more spots. It could make 20 in a few weeks, it could also just miss it! Last Tuesday was a big day, for GT, which is why the negatives today. So just those numbers don't tell the full story! (Tomorrow won't be good either, then Thursday will!) Since other countries are possibly ready for single #2, I'd say, Sept is a good bet. So, since Adam will be in South America from September 16-30, how do you guys think that will effect new single promo? Someone, the other day, hypothesized that ALN could be the new single because he has not been singing it as much as TOH during current promo opportunities. I was thinking that having existing publicity performances of TOH might be a benefit for that song if it is the new single. What say you?

I think single 2 timing will be based on US radio and Impact date will be first week October give or take a couple of weeks. GT is still moving up the charts in 6 of the Top 10 markets so no happening for a while.

I am thinking that Warner Bros has something planned for GhostTown besides the Volleyball gig at the end of the month- I heard through the grapevine that Adam is coming back to New York at around that time- perhaps he is doing America's Got Talent?

That MAX guy is cute and that has nothing to do with him saying Adam is a wonderful man with a wonderful voice. :D ETA. Great example of what positivity and compliments will bring you, I checked out his music and I liked it!
