No. I would say GT has about 4 weeks of life left. Yeah. I guess 22 or 23 will be the top on a published report. GT did absolutely great and I think will remain around in the public mind and continue to get played even if it is not a top 20 song. |

Not agonizing, just asking - The big three were not as on board with GT as we would have liked. No power spinning etc. It is smaller stations that caught fire more. Just saw 97.3 is now the 3rd strongest spinner of GT which of course delights me.
Is the performance of GT enough to convince those top stations to go bigger for the 2nd single? Everyone loved GT. The comments from the DJs, reviews etc. were awesome. Do we have reason to believe ALN will get supported more?

KIIS LA and Q102 were very much onboard with GT! KIIS has never played Adam. They played WWFM a few times a day, for maybe a week around 2010 Wango Tango. What they did this time was great, for them. To answer your question, "yes" GT absolutely did enough. And IMO, we don't need Z100 for a hit. Cumulus and SIRIUS Hits One are the ones to go after! Great article on All Access yesterday about small and middle stations making the difference, not the big guys! Here's an example, from today, of how stoopid radio is (using the Z playlist) Songs #1-4 are getting 110-118 spins a week. 16 spins a day!! That's every 90 minutes! Song #10 is only getting 53 spins a day! Songs #10-20 are getting 25-30 a day! So unless you make the Top 4-5 on a station's playlist, you are not going to get those power spins! BTW, I absolutely think both ALN and TOH have the potential to easily make Top 5 on any playlist. I can easily see it making #1 on HAC! ETA: Theosgma, Your Miami station looks like it will be the #1 spinner in a few days!   |
