That's HUGE. And the clear majority of Catholics believe it should be legal too. I REALLY think as people step away from the emotion (and whatever bill of goods they had been sold during a campaign), people will continue to examine it with more clarity. Bottom line: Nobody's marriage affects yours. End. Of. Story. The Prop 8 issue in CA was nuts – every emotion, history and allegiance was played upon, but I think people have gained perspective. My mom is a devout (recently returned) Catholic who believes in human rights. However, the rhetoric that was delivered during the prop 8 campaign was, "Civil unions are the same thing!" Which she wanted to believe (but I have a hunch, she didn't). In her Bible classes she defends people's right to love and to share affection, no matter how it's expressed. She's 73 and believes firmly that people have a right to love whomever they choose and have a right to express that love no matter what. There are tiny, incremental changes happening, everywhere. It is often who VOTES that matters or who harasses and threatens their political representatives. It's like admiring Adam but not buying his music or attending his concerts, a big friggin' fail. Oh, I vote every chance I get and twice on Sundays. I don't let living in Texas stop me. Texas can change and I reserve the right to bitch loudly that comes with casting my vote.

We always try to take the high road here on Atop. Don't you think that ought increase our odds in the 2% bracket? (Can we pretend we didn't read the flow chart, tho...) : Well, these times just all suck for me...lol!! I didn't read the flow chart either. If the rapture happens at 6pm ET, I still have to work tomorrow. But, I won't be here long enough to find out that I won the Powerball later on tomorrow night?? WTF's with that?? LOL!! Just to let you all know, I don't believe in *the rapture* at all. Don't think anyone else here does either. That's why I'm joking about it, of course. As far as the gay rights crap that's going on. Well, all of this just makes me so sad that I feel like I could throw up. I'm going to try to do more however I can, to change this. I'm not sure how right now, but I'm not going to sit here passively and just watch it all happen. WTF is wrong with these people?? How does it affect their lives? What ever happened to live and let live? I know, questions we've all asked ourselves. I was so fortunate to be raised by parents who believed that everyone had equal rights. Be it race or sexual orientation, or anything else, they were never judgemental. NEVER!! When I was very, very young, my parents had gay friends. I didn't know it at the time. Why? Because it was no big deal to them. I figured it out later in life, and was so impressed with my folks. My first experience with Blacks was friends of my parents from Boston. They were a group of musicians who came to the lake where we had a small cabin. The Jones Brothers. They were so funny and sweet, and we always got to go to the club where they played to listen and dance to them. They were just regular people. They would joke and tell us they had freckles, but you just couldn't see them. I think I was about 6 years old then. One of my many awesome memories. Won't keep going on about this, but I just feel so lucky to have had the best parents ever!!! They showed me what I should know and love. They were always supportive. They taught me well. I miss them so. My sweet Dad passed 16 years ago on 5-23, coming on Monday. It was also my anniversary, although I've been divorced for many years. :( People are people. That's all that really matters. I find it so sad and heart wrenching that there is so much hate in this world. Sometimes, I just want to crawl in bed and pull the covers over my head. But, I know this won't help, so I won't do this. I will do whatever I can to help this cause. Everyone here knows what I mean, I hope...lol!! I'm very tired right now, and still have to work tomorrow. I just really needed to say something, and I will find a way, by writing Senators, Congressmen & the Pres, if necessary, to try to make a difference. I might not be making any sense right now, but I think I know what I mean. Atop is the most amazing place EVER!! I am so grateful to Q3 and all the mods who keep this place up and running. I have never been a member of any other website that has to many intelligent, caring people. Well, the feline diabetes site I used to haunt comes close, but you guys really, really rock!! I might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but I know smarts when I see it!!! Luv you all!! We will prevail!!! And, luv all the new pics of Adam & Sauli!! I've scanned daily before work, but then am almost late and no time to post. Oh for cryin' out loud! I've written a book here. And so it goes...lol!! Talk to you tomorrow evening, after I win that PB...hahahaha!! ETA: damn typos :/

Fascinating read, Kapsiz! This could be very interesting. Seems to be a lot of fusion talk going around. I seems like eons ago Adam was talking about an eclectic album and people were eeking and freaking. I have always felt FYE was innovative and will be a classic. JMO

Money talks we need to start boycotting the companies that support hate.., don't buy their products, letter writing, etc. WWJD What would Jesus do? How can so many Christian Right people call themselves followers of a peaceful all loving Jesus and yet be full of hate and intolerance. What a disconnect!! They are really anti-Christ. Hate to think of what they would do to Jesus if he ever did return. Don't ya sometimes hope that the Rapture will take them all away? ;D

LOLZ @isla_sandz: Very disappointing turnout of NZers for the earlybird Rapture special. @yellowsister: So I've just been onto The Stuff website and it looks as if there are no signs of a rapture in New Zealand! #Wehavebeenscorned! @brettsmusic: Just heard the end of the world has been postponed to NEXT SATURDAY!! #idolfinale #moneytalks Here’s A Handy “Will You Be Raptured?” Flowchart To Use Before The End Of Time By Michelle Collins My guess is that Adam and Sauli will miss the Rapture, cos they've been living IN rapture with each other for a while now. *throws glitter or mung beans (organic alternative)*

One last thought before I head out of here. Glittergma pointed out that she did not believe in the Rapture and was, therefore, joking about it. I also have been joking, not thinking that perhaps some Atopers do have strong beliefs or feelings about this. I always try to stay away from debating religion and politics, especially on a forum such as this. I have my opinions. Most definitely. My posts tonite were only to keep the mood in the Rapture world a bit light-hearted. If they brought angst to any of you, that was not my intent. G'nite

Now totally OT, but while I *respect* Bach music, I'm not that into it. Listening to Bach is like listening to musical math equations. Intellectually interesting, but pretty much devoid of any emotion. Admittedly, a lot of Baroque music in general strikes me that way. ETA: If the rapture is gonna be here in just a few hours, do I really have to drag my carcass to the grocery store this late to get milk for tomorrow morning?? Do you live near a beach? Do you have syrup? Cayman , can we clone you and fill the world with your fun=ness??

If I read what you said, it still says Glamnana (my sister in crime), but when I quote you, it says Glittergma..hahaha!! Don't know what that's all about, but I think everyone is ok with us joking about this. Luv your posts!! Have a good night!! Hugs!! #kindaconfused

G'nite vivlite, I would bet that even if there are Atopers that believe in the Rapture, they probably don't believe there is some guy in No. California who can predict it!

OT but I was thinking about Adam #2 and the Concert Tour to follow. What do think tickets for good seats will be selling for and how large of venues do you think Adam will play? I need to start my Adam Fund now so I can get great seats!
