I think the glut of the new big songs is sucking up a lot of air. But GT will be at 24 when Mackerelfish swims by the jellyfish and there are 8 songs dropping above and Nick Jonas and Calvin Harris below - maybe a couple of others - that have big moves. We have been holding to this forever that it looks like there can be a final break to the top 20 or wherever but GT has to hold on to spins and keep increasing even if modestly. I am in camp "it is still possible" |

It is amazing to what degree it's all in the name and has nothing to do with the song... not only for radio but for the public as well... Although I understand the fans, after all I would buy anything Adam puts out...so I guess every teenage girl is obliged to buy Biebz and TS...Is MackL a rap artist? I suppose he is big with all the rap peeps - I'll ask my own local rap fan - my DS... I find it interesting though that there is no Biebz on HAC top 50 yet. Is it an indication that adults are immuned to him? |

Just ignore today's numbers because the entire Top 40 board is a MESS!
Tomorrow will tell the Macklemore story, but as of right now, this week's spins are well behind GT!

The leader board still looks solid and a random check of stations showed positive spins so not sure what is up. Hope it won't be the first net negative week on the published charts
