Ode to TPTB In all the excitement of the awesomeness to come, I wanted to be sure we don’t overlook the awesomeness that is here everyday on Atop courtesy of some of the most amazing and selfless individuals I know. Last night I was forcefully reminded of the consistency, detail and pure labor that it takes to put up something as seemingly simple as the daily thread. I have interacted with Q3 a number on times when making my meagre contributions and was always amazed at her command of what is needed for everything to run well and her devotion to this task. But last night, for the first time, I got to interact with tinafea Like most people, I get myopic about my own “thang” even though it winds up wrapping fish a few days later. That makes me appreciate so much more the daily work of the leaders of this group. I messaged tinafea my scans etc. to see if it was a good thing to put on the front page and she was so responsive and amazing in working with me. I had no idea how much detail was involved, all the attributions necessary in what was posted - correct website, photo, links, the ins and outs of bringing in photobucket with their limitations and requirements etc. etc. She patiently worked through it all as if this was the only thing she had to worry about and in fact, it was just a little piece of what she and Q3 do every time they create the thread. Those two are often front and center with the daily thread but similar responsibilities go on in the other threads - Stardust and Rhiannsu on the numbers thread, Cassie on the Interviews and MasterClass thread, the incredible archiving of 4Ms, the news archives with tinafea and mainePF, events calendar Cassie and Q3, After-hours for great poetry, literary and other fascinating discussions by toramenor, art gallery by kamar and ladyoz and people talking about Adam by skylar and perhaps we will see the return of the Queen thread with our hero talon. Please forgive me if I missed somebody. These individuals do this simply out of sense of service and joy in making this our corner of the Adam world. Thank you so much. I wholeheartedly agree with you. I am so very grateful for this community. Thank you, thank you, thank you

Kamar...joining in to express how maturely and confidently you spoke, while sharing "yourself" , your life situations, and your country's situation. And, I am glad you had the gumption to push forward and express your thoughts, working around the questions. "Good on you"! and "good on Byron"! Adam "community" at its best! Kamar, you are my hero

twitter.com/QueenWillRock/status/641648944917913601www.queenonline.com/en/news-archive/queenonline-on-tour-notes-from-the-road-south-america-part-1/9th September 2015 QueenOnline On Tour: Notes From The Road - South America Part 1 Riding on a rented red London Double Decker bus, drinking champagne was how I found out, as you do. "Oh Nick, South America is on. Same deal as before OK?" said Jim Beach "Sure thing, thanks Jim, I will get in touch with Juliette (Q+AL Tour Director)..." "Very good." He smiled, turned back to Geoff Kempin of Eagle Rock, and continued to discuss the next couple of Queen DVD/Blu-ray releases. I was already in a really good mood, but this news just heighten my glee - you know that little nervous / excited skip you get in your tummy? 'Pop', there it was. Team MPT (Mercury Phoenix Trust) were overseeing a petanque fundraising day in London and Queen MD Spike Edney was with us on the bus, as we made our way through Oxford Street to the post-boule party. I grabbed another bottle of champagne and popped up stairs... "You're coming? That's great...you better crack that open then!" So here I am a few days before I leave, half packed and about to pop into town to grab a few last bits for my travels, reflecting on my last tour with the band and looking forward to this one. Once again, I had to put in a pitch for a place on the plane and again it was pretty simple - "South America - This is Queen Country". There was a bit more to it, but not much, however what I did have in my favour was that the feedback I had got from the North American Tour was that I had actually turned out to be pretty useful about the place, which was nice. I was also asked to do the European Tour earlier in 2015, but 6 weeks away from my girls was just too much for me...plus the wife said 'No'. This entry is just an introduction really, much like the one I did before, and a chance to say hello again and set the scene. There has been plenty of other things to prepare for and get to grips with before the tour; I have been busy on all manner of Queen and MPT business, including a weekend working in Montreux celebrating Freddie's birthday, getting injections, loading up the new Iron Maiden and Motorhead albums, checking the weather in SA, I even got a pedicure! But mainly taking (some) tongue in cheek flak from the wife, as I am a) missing my eldest daughter's first day at school and b) missing my other half's 40th birthday. I'm a selfish prick, I know. more!

Good "QAL on their way to RIO" morning!!!!!!! The MAGIC begins!!!!!
The interview with the Chinese interviewer was really good. That has to be the most Adam ever played with a ring during the conversation!lol So when do you think QAL with be in Rio and have their press conference? I was so excited I couldn't go to bed last night and stayed up way too late waiting for that interview in Poland that had a lot of voice over Adam's and was hard to hear anything! They must all be so excited on the plane. Rufus has his new Darkness experiences to talk about and Adam has the connection with working on his first album with Justin Hawkins (Music Again) their lead singer. And Adam is full of excitement to go and perform in SA since he has never been there before! Brian and Roger must be just bubbling with excitement inside to be back headlining in Rio again after all these years! They probably never thought this would ever happen again! I wonder if they will add any different songs of their amazing catalog? Was there any song or songs that were really popular in SA that they might bring back? I thought I read that they did Jail House Rock in their first Rio show ever. That would be fun seeing Adam channeling his Elvis! Sorry...I keep rambling on here but I am so $%#&%* EXCITED!!
