Now, in 2015, the britância band returns to the event, this time bringing the young Adam Lambert on vocals. Although the project which brought together former American Idol with the remaining members of Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor have started in 2011, the trio knows the responsibility that performance at the Rock In Rio on September 18 is. "The risk is always high, but I think I'm ready for the challenge," said Lambert, who come to Brazil for the first time. "Doing those shows in 1985 was a milestone in our career. I believe this show will also be so," adds Brian May. "Freddie is always on stage with us in one form or another. This is where I think when I'm cantanto those songs," explains Adam, who was only three years when the Queen toured Brazil. "Adam gives us a new energy. The Queen is still a living entity, "says Roger Taylor. "In some ways, I think today we played better than 30 years ago," added May. "The Freddie agree with us." Despite the Queen of the show only happen in a week, the band decided to arrive early at the Rio de Janeiro to "acclimate" and prepare a new version of the show for the Rock in Rio. "We rehearse a lot because we have not played together six months ago," explains guitarist Brian May, who only has good memories of the 85's show "We a lot of joy this time. "For the first time in Brazil, Adam wants to use the time before the festival to have fun. "Bring the tequila!" Laughs the singer. I need a HQ cropped version of the above pic with the unzipped knee. I NEED it. lol. He debuted those pants at that first iHeart showcase in NY. Not only drove us wild but was almost attacked by the straight DJ with his wife in the audience right there on the stage! LOL |
